  1. My number one reason: IS TO BE HEATHY AGAIN. I had HBP before I have surgery, since then my BP has been perfect. I also see my mom and that's me 30 years from now. She has diabetes, heart problems and some other issues and I know her being overweight contributed to her problems and I am choosing not to go that route. Now that fact I might look good is just icing on the cake. GOOD LUCK TO EACH OF US IN REACHING OUR GOALS!!!! KUDO TO THOSE WHO HAVE ALREADY REACH THEIR GOALS. Deb
  2. Welcome, Jamie Best of luck to you on your decision to be a new you. One the best things you can do for yourself and your children. 4. Kelli, I have Federal BC/BS of Kansas City and what Tiff wrote was all that was required by me. When I went for my psych eval. the doc had previously sent me some paperwork and there were some questions that asked me about what kind of diets I had been on ,how long, and how much I had lost. I'm five weeks post op, so that must have done the trick. Good luck!!! Deb
  5. WAY TO GO!!! You are almost at goal. I'm very happy for you. Deb
  6. I am almost five weeks out and just now started eating fruits and veggies. I am sure you will be alright. The only think I would suggest is peeling your peach next time. As per my surgeon instructions all of my fresh fruits need to peeled, seeded, and cored and no citrus for 6 months, membrane removed. Your best bet is to check with your surgeon. I would not worry tho. Deb
  7. Rhonda, I am 5 weeks out and yes I am finding different odors are making me nauseaus. I work in a office setting and even the smell of paper and magazines is making me hold my nose. The only time I felt this way was when I was pregnant with my first child. I DO NOT LIKE IT!!! :thumbdown:Can anyone relate and please tell us when it will end. Deb
  8. CONGRATS BABYGIRL. It looks like it's all working out for you. Best wishes and good luck on the pre-op diet. Deb
  9. WAY TO GO!!! Keep it up and in no time you will be at goal. That sounds fantastic!!:thumbup1: Deb

Shoot... I always wonder about it too. I wear makeup every day that I go to work, so it would have saved me time. My friend started wearing those individual eyelashes. Which I think are totally cool and look very natural. She paid 100 dollars initially and 45 dollars every two weeks for refills. I might try those. Deb

OK.... OK THAY'S WHY MY BREATH STINKS. I kinda thought maybe that was it. Um... what can I do about it other that brush my teeth every 15 seconds. LOL. I'm kinda embarrassed at work and don't want to be around peeps. So let me get this straight as long as I'm in ketosis my breath is going to funky. DANG!!!!! 21. Yes, go back to your surgeon's office. YOU SHOULD NOT BE IN SO MUCH PAIN YOU CAN NOT WALK. I had my surgery the same day as yours and I've been back to work for 2 and half weeks. Something does not sound right. You need to go get it check out PRONTO. Deb
  22. That's good to know. I've been wanting a ice cold diet Dr. Pepper. I probably still will not have one until I'm on maintenance. Deb
  23. 4 weeks ago today I was being checked into the hospital. I was apprehensive, but confident in my decision to have the sleeve. I knew this was what had to happen in order for me to get my life back. I was tired of dieting and pretty much resigned myself to being OVERWEIGHT,OBESE, MORBIDLY OBESE. Then I found this tool and I am working it to the fullest. At the present time I have lost a total of 46 pounds which started on Aug. 3rd {pre op diet for 2 weeks}. So that's like a little more than 1 pound a day. WOO HOO!!!!:w00t: I love this tool, I LOVE MY SLEEVE!!!!! One of the best things to happen to me ever. I FEEL TOTALLY ABSOLUTELY BLESSED. GOD IS GOOD!!!! PEACE. Deb
  24. My surgeon's office advises his patients to start walking for about 30 minutes daily from the time you get out of the hospital. This can be done in 5 minute increments. Walking will be the exercise for at least the first 4 weeks. Begin resistance training as soon as your doctor clears you. Deb
