I can't believe I only have 40 pounds to go...this surgery has SO amazingly improved my life...I'm grateful every day!!

Hey guys! I'm on the other side! Got my sleeve! I'm relaxing at my parents' house right now...they're being great...and am honestly not in too much pain. Kills when I cough cause one of my incisions is pretty tender still, but I'm not even on any pain meds. So...just thought I'd update you and let you know that I made it and am super excited to start this whole process!!

so... a question for you - can you visualize yourself skinny? it kind of throws me off...i've been chubby for so long that i have a hard time imagining it...and it scares me alot. what if i don't like myself skinny? what if i can't get used to it? kind of a silly thought, i know, but i'm comfortable where i'm at right now, although not healthy....ok, i'm rambling. i'd love to hear more from you! good luck with the rest of your liquid days and only a few more til surgery!! yeah!!

hey lovinlife! i'm definitely ready! i have an insurance plan that requires a 6 mo supervised time before approving surgery, so i'm about a year in to this whole process...let's get it over with already, i say! jk! but, i'm definitely ready to start living my new life. i've started already by working out on a regular basis, tried to cut out diet pepsi and fried foods, etc. and lost a few pounds on my own, but now on the liquids i'm sure i'll lose a few more this week. how about you? been successful with the liquids? you know, i haven't been strong enough to go out to dinner with friends - i'm just chilling at home this weekend and have scheduled myself a pretty busy week so that i'm not tempted or bored!

This is my first time with a major surgery! I had my wisdom teeth out, but for some reason, that one didn't make me nervous at all! I don't have any kids, and so I really haven't experienced a major medical change ever. So....I'm nervous. I am really excited because I haven't been struggling with the idea of giving up my old life too much. Does that make sense? I'm really ready to move on to a healthy me, even if that means lots of hard work. I've started an exercise program, and it kicks my butt, but I love doing it. Do you ever freak out that maybe this isn't going to work? That in a few years you'll be back where you are now? I really feel different this time, but I have self-doubt sometimes. I couldn't handle having people know that I had surgery and even that didn't work! Thoughts? Well, I will keep you posted on how the liquid diet this week goes...it's protein shakes all week for me! I'm sure I'll get quite sick of them, but I'm excited to start losing this weight!

Thanks for the add! My surgery is Aug 20th, so coming up pretty quickly! I start liquids on Friday and am a little nervous, but more excited to finally be getting to where I want to be in this whole process! Are you nervous or more excited?
