Clueless About Diet After Gastric Sleeve Surgery!
I just typed up my first 7 weeks for another sleever on the site...pm me your email and I will be happy to email it to you...It has the recommended vitamins and diet guidelines I followed on it. But it is several pages long and from others comments I believe she is very strict...but it worked wonders for me.

Dill Pickles For A Snack Wth?
Not to rain on anyones parade but I was warned not to eat pickles or to "skin" them until i was at 6 months...I would just suggest you check with your nutritionist or doctor. I was told the skin is hard to digest and like apple skin I shouldnt eat it until 6 months post op. Now I love to wrap up a pickle with a little cream cheese or some laughing cow and a piece of turkey.

Shout Out To Beth Moore
Any religious sleevers out there done the Beth Moore Esther study? I am on week 2 and in the lesson today she quoted a women that took a poll for her...she said for women "sometimes there is nothing that make you happier than seeing a close friend gain a couple pounds". Got me thinking...I dont ever want to think that way about other people....I wonder how many people feel that way about me? What do you think? Do we (especially women) feel that way about others? I want to be happy for others who work hard at taking good care of themelves in an effort to be healthy. But am I disgracefully feel a little good when I lose more than someone else or make a goal first. Gotta work on that right....we are all headed in the same direction. Just some thoughts...wondering if I am alone.

Almost 4 Weeks & Suddenly Nauseous?! Help!
At about 4 weeks I started to get sick to my stomach every afternoon...I didnt want to eat...the thought of food made me want to vomit. It turns out it was acid reflux...I began to have a choking feeling at night. I would wake up suddenly and have to sick up or even stand for a while. The doc changed my meds and I was good to go...I wonder if you are experiencing to much acid? Are you on a ppi? I took prilosec before this happened and now I take nexium. Let un know what you find out.

Wait...shouldn't Calories Per Day For Weight Loss Still Work The Same As Pre-Op?
I was instructed to stay around 600 calories a day until I hit goal...but most days I was a around 400 and that was only after I got to mushies. That said if your nutritionist told you to hit 1100 then you should contact them and see what they suggest. For me it was 70 grams of protein, no more than 30 carbs 600 calories. Good luck to you.

I Am So Brand New--First Post, 3 Days Out
I began making my protein with milk once I hit goal. But i did eat cottage cheese, cheese, cream cheese, yogurt, pudding at the mushie stage. I used mayo to mix my tuna and chicken salad. I used to have an allergy to milk so I expected to have problems post op but I do not and now I drink a protein shake a day and I use milk everytime. I am glad that things have gone well for you. It sounds like you know all the right things to do...good luck on your journey...cant wait to read your posts inthe future.

Scared About Life After Surgery
I had dreams before and after surgery that I would eat or drink (soda) something that I shouldnt. I think it was because I was so careful not to fall into a trap by trying those unhealthy foods and drinks again that I thought about them all the time. A couple of times while cooking for my family I tasted something and immediatly spit it out...It was just a habit for so long...I dont have trouble any more. I have three children too. A little older than yours. They were 9, 3, and 18 months when I had surgery. My husband stayed with us 24/7 the first week and the second week he went back to work only in the afternoon after the two little ones went down for a nap. My 9 year old came home from school in time to help me when they woke up and the really the only thing I couldnt do was pick my daughter up out of her crib, we changed diapers on the floor and it was no biggy. My kids have always offered to share their goodies with me and I just tell them no thanks that would hurt my tummy. They always serve protein when they play resturant now:)
