Oh no, Oh no no no no no
Hiya globetrotter... I am in a similar position to you and I understand how frustrating it is. My weight loss isn't 'amazing' (it is good for me and there is a part of me that feels guilty when I complain) but I also think that I should have lost more too. I was sleeved 3rd July and was hoping to be at least 168 for christmas, but that doesn't look like it will happen now! I had pneumonia in Oct and since then my body has been cruel to me,,, I gained a load! Managed to lose it plus another 3lb and that is it... I have tried all the stuff you have mentioned and am starting to feel down about it now too. I am trying to stay positive but it is hard... and I 'feel' fat again... weird? I also find it hard not to compare my self with others on here who have lost a lot more than me... and who are of similar stats to me... I suppose we just have to keep going and fight our cruel bodies all the way to slimville!

DANGIT!!!! It is official, my hair is falling out. EXPLETIVE!
yep, me too... I have really fine hair and it is just getting finer and finer... starting to show a little too... funny thing is that, it is only fine around the top area, sides and back are as normal... similar area to where a man goes thin first... I know it is only temp, but I don't like it at all... getting a trim tomorrow, so hopefully a nice shape will make it look better! Another thing that is weird though is the fact that is it in excellent condition... really shiny and seems stronger even though there is a lot less... does that make sense????

Ten weeks out - not as easy as I thought...
Hey, I am a slow loser ... and yes, it is frustrating,,, BUT Congrats on your weight loss to date! Someone once said to me, 'just think of the weight you could have put on!' I keep that close to me when I have no weekly loss or really slow loss! Have you tried to increase you fluids, water etc... I find that helps when things stop moving. I also agree with Blackberryjuice... change the exercise up too. Don't worry too much though, you will lose it... chin up and let us know how you get on =]

Updates
Hey Ladies... Greetings from sunny Wales!!! I was sleeved 3rd July... and am doing ok, pleased with my weight loss so far... mind compared to you Bella I am ashamed...lol! I agree with your comments on how life changing this is! Getting compliments is something I was never used to or took well, but now I sorta believe people when they say how nice I look or how healthy I look because for the first time in my life I am starting to feel good and believe in myself. There are sooooo many little things that only us, who have been obese, understand ... little things like wearing my engagment ring and my wedding ring all day... wearing high heeled shoes to work... going to the gym and not crying on the way home because my groin is on fire and my shin splints are hurting! My 10 year old son being able to put his arms around me and for his hand to touch... that was a NSV that had me in tears...lol. The list goes on!! I suppose, I feel in control of things are last, and that alone is an amazing feeling. Although, I am not even half way to goal, I already feel so much better, younger and fitter... I started at a 24/22 and am now comfortable in an 18 (nearly in that elusive 16!!!) Lets keep each other going ... =]

I finally weigh less than my boyfriend!
Hey Blackberry... I am totally with you on this... the day I weighed less than my hubby was defo a NSV and a massive one at that 'cos for the last 12 years I have always been heavier! Doesn't it feel good... he said to me the other day, that it is nice that he can wrap his arms around me and touch hands...!! The little things are so important! x

It still hasn't sunk in yet.
Maddie, thank you for your post... I can relate to the issue of feeling defeated; I have never really had that 'killer instinct' or competitive part to me (until recently when the weight started to come off!). 100lb is absolutely amazing and I am soooo impressed! Well done and thanks for sharing your dream! x

A Word of Ecouragement to my fellow sleevers!
I agree with you completely; for me the sleeve isn't a quick fix but a tool and a lifelong promise to myself that my health and well being is important! I too think exercise is a great part of this amazing, even if frustrating on times, journey of ours. I use exercise for many different reasons, not just for weight loss... for enjoyment with my family, a way to get rid of frustration and to make myself feel alive... nothing better than a good sweat....lol Keep up your hard work and congratulations on your success so far!! =]

In the swim

In the swim
Just thought I would share this little bit of excitment! I have set myself little mini goals along my weight loss journey, things that will keep me motivated... and swimming is on the list. I am now under 14 stone (194) so my next little goal was to go swimming. Just over two years ago I started taking the kids swimming with my husband; I even bought a new swimming costume ( unfortunately itwas too small for me!!!! but I kept it anyway) ... I went a several times and each time I would start to get little panic attacks! I would get sweats, palpitations, and need the toilet!!! I thought that this reaction completely outweighed the benefit of the exercise and I stopped going. So, yesterday, my son asked when we were going to go swimming again. I tried the swimming costume on and it was a perfect fit... and ok, there is still plenty of weight to come off, but I have to say, it didn't look as bad as I expected! To cut a long story short... I put the costume on and kept it on and took the kids swimming. It was amazing to be back in the pool with them and my husband! We had a lovely time and I managed to get some really good exercise out of it too! These little NSV are sooooo important to me!

Oh good for you... I am totally getting the running machine thing... I am in the same boat, even slimmer, I have never been able to run! Now though, something has changed... I can breath as I run and am slowly building my stamina up too... great feeling isn't it!!! =]

I'm MAJOR P.O'd HERE!!!!
Hey, thinoneday, I have to be honest here... if I had heard my hubby say that to himself, never mind my daughter, you would have heard the black las across the pond!! I would not be happy about it ... at all ... and fair play to you for not shooting from the gut and doing a rant as I would have done! I am glad that you have taken some time out to calm down before having a chat with him ... hope all goes well! x
-
An NSV worthy of a post.
Now that is what I call a victory.... loving NSV!!!

trying not to get discouraged 5 weeks out
Ladies, this is ringing sooooo loud for me!! I too am a slow loser; I too stalled for 3 weeks from 2.5 weeks out and then it came off in fits and starts. More recently I put weight on when I quit smoking; one week to put it on...over three weeks to get it off! UNFAIR!!! My advise, keep going and stay positive, I know that is hard. Focus on the things that you have done... how much you have lost and how your clothes are feeling smaller now... do you have more energy yet etc? As far as 500 cals... that isn't a lot mind... and I agree with the others that it probably isn't enough. I know when I don't eat enought cals my body doesn't like it and stops losing all together! What about Water? Are you drinking enough fluids? I remember ar your stage I needed to drink a lot! Well, good luck and chin up... it will come off and when it does, it feels sooooo much sweeter!! Let us know how you are getting on x
-
I actually did it
Why can't you believe it... you did it... fantastic news!! Congratulations! x
