  1. Nice one... I noticed your ticker had gone down again... how did it go? What did he say? I bet he was chuffed with your progress. I'm still in limbo... lost a pound last week, will offically weigh in the morning but I think it is aound this week too...*boo hoo* So since the pnuemonia I have managed to get rid of 6-7lb... I know I haven't done as much exercise but I have been doing some and I am a little disheartened... but I ain't beating myself up like I did a couple of weeks ago!! It has been hard work to be honest, but without the sleeve I would have put a lot of weight on... so that is a bonus!! =]
  2. congrats.... good job well done... looking leaner!! Keep up the good work! =]
  3. Cheers Chilo... I will try those for sure... how are you doing with the extra protein and less carbs... you are soooo near to your goal weight now... exciting!!!! x
  4. I'm with lasajata!!!! defo gonna cry!!! been a long time coming. Then, once the tears have dried ...!! I am going to see Take That June 16th and I am hoping to be goal or very near goal by then... I have a mental idea of my outfit to see my fab five - Robbie in particular - a size 12 pair of Bench jeans and a 'fitted' tee-shirt saying 'Coops loves Robbie' ...lol x
  5. Hey Chilo, what Protein shake are you taking...I have been thinking about using them as a snack to see if they help my weight loss... I occasionally have a Protein Bar for brekkie but I am reluctant to buy the powder in case I don't like it cos it is really expensive! Tiff, I can see the difference you mentioned with your hair, but to be honest, the dramatic weight loss overshadows it completely... I showed my husband the pics and he didn't even notice that your hair was fine, just said 'Bloody hell, where did she go?' So I guess the moral of the story is that, those who know you/us will be drawn to the weight loss not the hair loss and those who don't know us will just think we have fine hair... everyones a winner...
  6. Hey Ladies, Glad everyone is doing well... Cheri way to go lady.... 62lb is amazing!!!!! I am with you Kathy, I still see myself as fat round even though I 'know' I am not anymore... down 3 dress sizes but I still see that woman who went into hospital 5 mths ago! Weird, but I think it is going to take my head a long time to catch up with my body. The last couple of months have been really hard; I had a dose of pneumonia and my weight loss has all but stopped since then, despite my eating habits remaining the same- I have lost 6 lb since 11th Oct. Yea, I am a little disheartened but I realise that it is my body's way of reacting and trying to keep me well. I am sure that the slow but steady weight loss will return soon! I am still getting a lot of regular and positive comments; from my new clothes to the weight loss. It was difficult in the beginning and I felt awkard, but now I am more accepting of the attention and for the most part it is nice and a little bit of an ego boost too! I still don't have a single regret, even with christmas on the door step ... this would normally be a time of chocolate and cake and drink and...well, you get the general idea! Not this year though. I haven't denied myself either, but the difference is simple... this year I have a mouthful or a bite and stop.... WOW... what a great sense of achievement that is!!!!! Keep up the good work fellow sleevers... xx
  7. great pics... you look so much happier and confident... well done on a job well done so far... keep up the good work! x
  8. ain't that what it is all about... being healthy and soooooo near goal too!! Well done you x
  9. Hey Irene, you are soooo right; last week I was going 'down'! Moody, feeling low and basically beating myself up cos I wasn't losing 2,3,4 lb a week! I now realise that this is the lowest weight that I have been for over 13 years... I definately feel more positive, and that is without a massive weight loss recently. It is important for me not to rely on the scales for that feeling of success... and although it has been a long and hard 2 1/2 mths of very little movement, I think I probably needed this to reassess my own state of mind - if that makes sense. I ain't a failure either... thank you for the positive vibes that you continue to give us all... I, for sure, need to hear these once in a while xx
  10. Hey KathyM, well done you... what a fantastic result!!! I am close to my half way goal and can't reach to make it!! You were sleeved on my wedding anniversary... what a great day !!
  11. Well done and congrats... I want to be normal too...lol... xx
  12. what a great victory, doing the boot zip all the way up and wearing them with a dress... I have just felt that same victory... long live boots... Congrats on your weight loss... you are looking lovely!! x
  13. hey, congratulations on a job well done... stalls are a complete pain in the ass ... I think you are spot on with the water advice...I am in a stall and am struggling to get my water in!! Keep up the good work x
  14. Hey Muffinsmom, I never thought of it like that... you're right, as far as I am concerned the pneumonia is long gone and I am back to normal... the Dr did warn me that it could be 'a 6 mth project'... so yea, that is probably why things have gone a bit pear shaped... I am doing the right things... but yea, my pure water intake has gone down, but I do drink plenty of tea and de caf coffee (skimmed milk and a tiny amount of sugar... I've been doing this all along)! Will focus on my water and take it easy!! Thanks x
  15. Hey Chilo, Ain't this side of the sleeve pants... I am sorry to say that mine is the same... and it is freaking me out too... I've had it cut shorter to try and hide how fine it is! I can see my scalp and my parting is getting wider and wider! Not sure what we can do about it to be honest... I eat more than 40g of protein a day and it is happening to me too... I really don't know what to suggest! Chin up and when you are feeling a little low... just go and put a small pair of jeans on!!! xx
  16. Kelli, Sending you love and hugs from Wales... hope you have a safe and speedy recovery... xx
  17. I lost a POUND this week... for the love of God what am I doing wrong.... grrrrrr!!! I hope things will pick up and I lose a little more next week!! x
  18. yep, us girls are weird creatures... I have already been told not to lose much more weight... I ain't even half way to goal !!! As if I want to stop now... I really don't know what people are going to say when I do get smaller, I suppose I will have to be prepared for it as much as I can. I am waiting for, what my husband calls, 'a sh*t sandwich' a compliment that isn't really a compliment... along the lines of ' oh wow you look great have you lost weight?' followed by 'really i thought you were older than that!' ... you know what i mean... something really nice and then something that is really nasty that leaves you thinking... hang on, what happened there!
  19. Hey Judy, It is lush... and tidy like... I'm loving the Gavin and Stacey styleeeeee.... TIDY LIKE!! x
  20. I agree ladies, Chilo, I get compliments on my face too...lol... weird but who cares, a compliment is a compliment as far as I am concerned these days!!!
  21. Hey Kathy, Firstly, congrats on your weight loss to date.. You are doing really well and the weight you have lost has gone forever. Please don't compare yourself to others... I too had the reg sleeve beg of July and I have 'only' lost 44lb, so compare to your friends weight loss of 46 that is rubbish... However, for me that is amazing as before this amazing tool I couldn't lose 7lb. I am starting to look at this in a different way... I am a slow loser and I have come to realise that this is good... basically cos I am losing and not gaining! If it takes me year from today to lose the remaining excess weight, I have to accept that! At least now I know it has gone for good... Keep your chin up and I am sure you will see results soon. =]
  22. Like, Like, Like ... I like this a lot... well done you and I bet you were walking on air... plus a free shirt to boot.... NICE!!!! x
  23. Callling all slow losers... OK, so normally I am bleating on about how crap it is to be a slow loser, or that I am in another stall... so, as I am trying to regain my positive attitude, glass being half full again and all that... I thought I would start a thread that lists all the good things about being a slow loser. Any comments, ideas or just a good thing... Good things about being a slow loser * gives skin a chance !! * easier to keep the sleeve a secret if you haven't told anyone * the weight will stay off (?) OK... anyone got any more???
  24. Oh Jillian... bla bla bla bla bla.....blaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!
  25. I thought I recognised your accent....lol!!! As we say in the valleys.... TIDY LIKE!!! XX
