  1. I just bought the sample and reordered the container. It worked for me when I added it to campbells chicken noodle soup. I find you have to wisk it to get the clumps out and add a little at a time like tempering so that you dont get the clumping. Try that and see if that works.
  2. I'm sorry for what is going on with you. I had a few complications and gained some weight back. I am now under a nutritionist care to get back on track. I have started to lose again and see my goalin sight alothough I have alot more to lose. Have you thought about seeing a nutrtionist so that you can map out a plan for you?
  3. I would love a copy. How would I get you my email address?
  4. This is my take on the situation. Regardless of what surgery you decided to do, Its your business and no one elses. You can chose who to tell or not to tell, its no ones business. All you owe her is an heads up of I am having surgery or that you are going into the hospital. That's it. I find when you let the wrong people know your business, it van come to bite you in the end. Besides its your place of work, you should be worried about how your boss personally feels about what you have decided for yourself. Hope all works out.. Good Luck
  5. I find that Hood milk works for me.. I purchase the fat free one in the green container. It is 45 cal..8 proteins 3 carbs and 3 sugars per serving... its cool cause you can mix it with hot or iced tea to make a quick protein drink.
  6. Hey guys... I hope everyone is fabulous and happy in their journey. Anyway let me start by saying that right after surgery I cant tolerate protein shakes. With that being said, I found a great product at my grocery store that I use to get a quick low calorie low card high protein snack in. The product Im referring to is HOOD milk. I can usually find it at stop and shop or Pathmark. Here is a lil quick recipe that I use to help me get up to 16grams of protein in one shot. I pour 2 cups of HOOD milk in a glass, 4 packets of splenda and maybe a shot of sugar free syrup if I want to jazz up the taste, and one cup of Chai tea brewed from just the tea bag and hot water. Let the water cool and pour it into the milk stir and drink. This recipe is 90 cals... 6 carbs..0 fat...16 proteins. I hope you guys try it and let me know what you think... By the way when you purchase this make sure it is the green container which is fat free. This can also be served hot... So this will help with the waist line and your pockets since you wont be on line at starbucks anymore lol... As always love you guys...
  7. Im sorry your in this situation. I think we have all have gone through a period of loneliness one way or another. This isnt only about weight loss or what you look like. Its about who you are. Ive been in your shoes before... but after being single after a 12 year relationship, I found myself.. I found what makes me tick and also found the woman in me way before surgery. As long as you take the time to really love the very person that you are today, you will see doors open for you. We arent guaranteed to see tomorrow so weather I lose to my goal weight or never lose again, the one thing I have learned is to love yourself even if it meant the bigger me. People will start to see who you truely are and you wont be looking for happiness in someone else but you will already have it cause its in you.
  8. Hey guys... Bronx NY in the house... we should definitely get an NYC meet and greet one day.
  9. AMEN to that... Thank you sweet Jesus!
  10. Hello everyone. I was in the gym today and it felt so good and hurt so bad at the same time. My point tonite is to say to all of those who get down from time to time.. weather it be a stall or if you arent losing as fast as you can is to get moving and do your part. Like everyone hear is an individual and have had different experiences.. so will you. I say this because I dont always have the greatest support system. I dont always have that person who is going to make me feel better. Today I felt down and a little upset about my progress, but then I thought.. Get Up! Move! Go to the gym! So I did.. I finally was able to do 22 min on the elliptical machine which I have never done in my life. I then proceeded to do an hour on the treadmil. I say all of this because a couple of weeks ago I felt that it was over for me, maybe I wouldnt lose anymore.. I wont hit my goal. But then I had to make sure I was doing my part. For some its all about the food intake and it comes off, but for some of us we have to get moving. So if you dont have that support system and you have HATERS! in your life who dont support you, get up and get moving and make sure your doing your part for your success. I have lost almost 60 lbs and have a long way to go but i promise myself that I will not fail myself, because failing myself and not caring enough about my health is what got me here. I thank all of you from this site that write in often because you guys keep me going. I can see the end of my journey through you guys and I know ill be there soon. So next summer I plan on waving to all of my haters to didnt support me cause I got my LIFE BACK! Love you guys.
  11. I want to thank everyone who responded and gave me some positive feed back. It means alot to me that I am not in this alone.. I have started a new regimen with food and it seems to be working. Not only is the scale moving but I feel better too. I finally realize how easy it is to eat a bunch of empty carbs and calories. I say to anyone who is feeling like I have to always try to get back on track.. We are only human and we all need help every once in a while.. LOVE u GUYS!!!!
  12. Hello guys. I am great full tom have this forum to learn so much. I am 5 months post op and have lost almost 60 lbs. I find that I am not losing as much as I used to and I go into constant stalls. I know its my diet. Sometimes I am not able to eat what I should and whey Protein gives me diarrhea.. i know TMI... Im hoping that someone can give me some encouragement or a meal plan to follow so that I can kick this weight loss off again. I just hope I am not alone in this... It feels crazy when you dont lose weight. Please help.... Thank you, Swany
  13. I felt the same way when I went to my doctor. But he reassured me and put me at ease by asking me have I ever lost this much weight in 2 weeks let alone 2 months. I replied no. So he said keep up the good work and you will see it come off. He also told me through this journey that we all will be going through phases. Phases of the scale not moving but inches lost and weeks where weight will just drop. So be patient and listen to your body for nutrition and exercise and you will see things work out. Good luck and stay blessed. I have faith in each and everyone of us that we can win this battle. Stay in the fight.
  14. I believe God will tell us and show us the things that we need to know and can handle. Some people dont do well with prophecy due to impatience and lack of faith. So I say wait on the Lord and pray that you will be willing to accept what he has in store on your life.
  15. Hello, I am so happy that you are getting healthy on your own. Surgery will be a tool to help you keep it off if you stick with it. I am 2 weeks post op and so far I have lost 19 pounds. Something that I have never done before. I wanted to address the question about the insurance company. I found in my Quest for approval that all insurance coverage are not created equal. Someone on here can have the same company as you but not have the same benefits as you. I think the best thing to do is call the insurance company and see if the surgery is covered by them and what would portion would be your responsibility. Also find out exactly what they require for approval. This will help with the guessing game. I hope all works out for you. And no matter what happens, just stay positive and make healthy choices for your life. Best wishes and be blessed.
