  1. Seriously, I know what I need to do but I’ve lost my umph. Maybe it’s the holidays but I just can’t seem to get back into my groove of low carb, controlled eating. I know I’m eating too much food and not the best choices and I can honestly say it’s having that addictive affect on me. That can’t stop eating, all day grazing, late night snacking. Old habits are tormenting me. I know if I could just get back on track that would go away for the most part but I’m in a rut. Haven’t lost anything in 3 months. Haven’t gained either though. Losing and gaining the same 3 lbs over and over again. Just needed to vent. I know I can do this. Just feeling disappointed in my self. Banded 3/2010 Revised to sleeve 4/2017 Total loss since pre op 38lbs [emoji22]

No weight loss weeks 5-9 post op

Mine has been very slow. For 4-6 weeks my weight seemed to be bouncing around. Then it started leveling out and I've been dropping but VERY slowly. I've only lost 30 lbs since my revision surgery on 4/14/17. But I'm glad at least it's moving. Don't give up. It will happen.
  3. I've seen that but have been afraid to invest the money for fear I'd hate it.
  4. I understand. My experience too. I guess I just figured if you were in fact able to eat the proper foods it would be successful. All in all I'm SO glad I have revised to the sleeve. [emoji16]
  5. So are unable to lose any weight with it? I agree with you that it doesn't necessarily without issue. I just meant you can actually lose weight with it if you are able to stick to the dieting rules. I also had trouble eating lean meat a lot of times as well as a lot of vegetables. So I resorted to sliders which kept me from losing. I guess I should've worded that differently. [emoji6]
  6. That's great! I hope you have a good experience.
  7. That is what I did. Im SO relieved! No more sleepless nights!
  8. Sounds familiar. Is having it removed an option? I cannot express how much better I feel just getting it out.
  9. True and I'd love to do that but unfortunately I can't seem to hold enough food to get the protein count up. I find myself short at the end of the day if I don't have big shot of 20 or 30 g in a shake or bar.

    Pain near old port site

Me too same story. April 14, 2017
  11. It is lower carb and higher protein but still not much compared to a protein shake or bar.
  12. Yes I do have those things but sometimes I need something I can grab and go and also sometimes by the end of the day I've only had 30-40 gm of protein and need to kick it up there but I'm not really hungry.
  13. Thanks. I have upped my protein which upped my calories slightly. I've lost 3 more pounds. I guess I'm just going to be a slow loser. I'm ok with that as long as I'm losing.
  14. Seriously, there's got to be one of these ridiculously expensive pretend candy bars they call protein bars that's actually tolerable. I can find one if there is. I've tried so many. I bought the Kirklands ones and at first I thought I could handle them but now ugh!!! They are so tough and dense you can hardly chew them and the taste is just gross. I don't understand this because at first I thought they were ok. Please tell me there's something better. I'm wondering if it's just me and my tastes changing. I've been drinking protein drinks for 6 years and now I can't stand those either. I've got to find something I can do to supplement my protein. Tried the unflavored and don't like it either. It has a taste to me. What's wrong with me?
