  1. I'm super sad! I didn't expect this. I thought I would be in pain, which I'm not really. My recovery has been easy physically! I'm trying to take it one day at a time. I knew it was going to be a huge adjustment with the change in eating but I didn't really tihnk that would lead to me being so sad and emotional. I guess its like losing my best friend.... I'm 4 days post-op today! I really have no pain and am getting around fine. Anyone else feel similar?
  2. My surgery is March 8th...less than one week away! I am excited, nervous and can't wait to start this journey. I go tomorrow for Pre-Op testing and a patient education class with the hospital Bariatric Nurse Coordinator. I have been on information overload though....I have to stop reading!!! Good Luck to all as you start your new healthy lives!!!!
  3. My surgery is scheduled for March 8th too! I was not put on a preop diet either - they told me liquids only the day before surgery and nothing the day of. I have been driving myself crazy reading everyone's different diets and Dr.'s orders. I've finally realized to just follow what my Doctor says. I feel confident in him and have to stop reading so much. Sometimes it is information overload!
  4. My doctor does not mandate a Preop diet. He did not even bring it up to me. I brought it up during our 2nd appointment after reading about others experiences. He says in his experience it deters to manyy people from not getting the band at all.
