  1. How exciting for you! It is very inspirational! I can't wait to cry for joy for once in a dressing room!
  2. I'm still in the early stages and I've totally let loose with my eating! Any craving I give in to because I know I won't be able to after surgery. I gave up iced tea/soda for Lent and that has helped me reel myself in a bit.
  3. So my 2nd question of the day is.... How is lap-band pain in comparison to C-Section pain? I've had 2 C-Sections, and while it was a real b***h, I know I can handle it. What kind of pain meds are you on when you leave? How long did you have to take them? When did you go back to work? I work in an office and don't do any physical work.
  4. I haven't met personally with my dr yet, that's tomorrow. So I don't know all the particulars, but the pre-op diet has me confused. I've tried so many diets, they haven't worked. That's why I'm doing a lap band. With the lap band I won't be physically able to eat as much as I do, and I'll feel full with what I do eat. I know I'll be on a crazy liquid diet right after surgery and I'll be slowly adding food to the mix. That I get. So what is with the starvation diet (that's what it seems like) before the operation?
  5. I'm meeting w/ Dr. Noel Williams at UPENN tomorrow. He seems like a great guy and I could listen to his Irish accent all day. I just hope I can make it in to the city by 9! That's the unfortunate thing with UPENN, they're the best, but they're in Philly. I hope I get approval, I'm on the cusp, but I do have high BP & high cholesterol. I've been eating out of control for the last few weeks. I feel like I won't be eating for the rest of my life so I have to get it in now! Anyone else have that problem? I've managed to put on another 5lbs!
  6. So, I'm going to meet with Dr. Williams tomorrow. I wish it weren't in the middle of the city.
