  7. 2011 was quite a year of change. I lost a family member and a great guy in my brother-in-law Ray Meadway. I had always been a coward about approaching a surgical solution to my weight battle. The sudden loss of my brother-in-law pushed me in a direction to do something. September 19th I completed the surgery. Still having some issues, but I'm down 99 lbs from the first time I walked into the consultation room. Bluegrass Bariatrics, and in particular Dr John Oldham have been completely f...

    Hello Fellow Losers

Dave from Louisville,KY here. I was sleeved last Monday (9/19). Top weight 2 years ago was 400lbs. Sleeve weight was 323. I look forward to getting to know my fellow losers in the mens area! I plan on getting back to the gym after the 6 week no lift and getting rolling with my new life. I'm 42 and don't know why I waited so long to pull the trigger on this.

  14. My surgery was on 9/19. For the last 3 days I haven't been able to keep a thing down. I am literally throwing everything up, including water. Any advice would be appreciated.
  15. well....after discussion with the Dr, he put me on Promethazine and Zegerid to help with all of the nausea and vomiting. Today has been a very quiet peaceful day, knock on wood. I have kept down about 50 oz of fluid and the dehydration symptoms are working themselves out just fine. Thank you all for the suggestions. I'm really struggling with the nausea I guess.
  16. Post surgery update.....the weight is flying off. I am down almost 40 lbs since the beginning of August. Under 300 lbs again for the first time in a few years. I've been pretty sick the last few days. A lot of it is getting used to what I can and cannot do post surgery.

  17. Thank you all very much. Headed back to the Dr first thing in the AM.
  18. as a Cubs fan, I would like to thank the Braves and Red Sox for taking the heat off of the Cubs for a while.
