2011 was quite a year of change. I lost a family member and a great guy in my brother-in-law Ray Meadway. I had always been a coward about approaching a surgical solution to my weight battle. The sudden loss of my brother-in-law pushed me in a direction to do something. September 19th I completed the surgery. Home again....nothing like a bout of double pneumonia and 4 days in the hospital to put things in perspective.

Post surgery update.....the weight is flying off. I am down almost 40 lbs since the beginning of August. Under 300 lbs again for the first time in a few years. I've been pretty sick the last few days. A lot of it is getting used to what I can and cannot do post surgery.
