  1. So, I recently learned my band slipped and needs to be removed. I've been banded about 3 years and while i initially lost about 40 lbs, I've been pretty much the same for the last year or so. My current surgeon only does removals, no revisions. I'm pretty worried about having it removed bc I've read so many articles saying you will gain the weight back once it's out. I do know of another surgeon in the area who will revise to a gastric bypass. My question is, before I consider changing doctors, do you think they'd be willing to do a bypass on me if I'm not morbidly obese right now? My bmi is 32 with an underlying condition of sleep apnea. Has anyone had a similar experience?

  4. hello and welome! I thought your name was cool. One of my good friends is a "bonjovigirl"...thought that was funny.

  5. Hi all, I am new to this site. I was banded 02/07 and so far so good. Right now I am in full liquids. Not much of an appetite physically although I still have the same old food cravings. Next weekend I will be traveling out of town. 15 hour bus trip and then 3 days at hotel. I am looking for ideas of foods I can bring with me that will travel well. The purpose of the trip is my daughter's cheer competition which means I will be on the run most of the day. The only food available at the convention center will be stadium type food so it is definately going to be a challenge. Does anyone have any suggestions?
