  1. My students love Dr. Seuss and so do I. This goes to show us that our children can relate to many things!!! Children are absolutely one of God's greatest creations! Got to love them!! At least today I do! LOL!

  2. Look at God! Principal Exam passed!!! What a blessing!

  3. I have not been feeling well since my last fill. I am also having sinus/allergy problems. What should I do? Wondering whether to remove some fill or wait on allergies to get better...no energy, can barely keep anything down.

It does take that long. I did not understand this before the surgery. I didn't realize that they only add small increments of fluid into your band because your stomach has to adjust each time they give you a fill. That is why you cannot eat solids for two days or maybe more depending on you. I am on my second fill and sometimes I am able to eat especially in the evening and sometimes I get discomfort and I stop eating. I go for my 3rd fill on May 14th and I can't wait. The nurses in my doctor's office tell me that the 3rd time is a charm and hopefully I wills start to feel restriction and start losing more weight. I am down 23 pounds since the onset but I am going back and forth on pounds for the last few months. I am hopeful that the next fill will be the one that gets me going. There is a post on this website that explains the fill process in detail, it really helped me to understand. If I find it I will come back and tell you where to locate it. Good luck and I will check in on you soon. It seems that we had our surgery about the same time.

    2nd fill

Hello Ladies, I like you will have my second fill on April 9th. I did not realize that I would have to get several fills before I would actually start to feel restricted. Does anyone know why it takes so many fills? I mean why do they not just fill the band with enough fluid to cause you to have restriction. I understand that the number may be different for everyone but they should have a better estimate after realizing that we all are having to get 3 to 5 fills before we feel that the band is working. I guess I need to just practice self control and stay focused. I can eat anything I want and sometimes I do. I hope after my fill on the 9th the band really starts to work for me. Good luck y'all!!!

    Feeling nothing :(

I had my surgery on February 18th and I am going through the same thing. I can pretty much eat what I want and I have been. I told my doctor and he said try to stick with the plan of drinking the required amount of protien and try not to over eat. He says that after my fill on the 12th, I will be back on track. I hope so. I feel like I am gaining the 12 pounds I lost prior to the surgery. Let me know how you are doing after your first fill. I hope I don't have to get three or four fills before I feel restricted that will really be a bummer. Anyway good luck. Let me know what happens and I will keep you informed as well. Thanks.
  10. Surgery done....I am doing ok. The chest paid is very uncomfortable but I find that if I walk around or sit up, it helps. Trying to drink my protien drinks but can only get down about 2 oz at a time, if that, should I be worried.

  11. I just learned today that my procedure was approved. Yeah!!! I will be having surgery on Friday, February 18, 2011. I cannot believe it is happening. I am nervous and excited.
