  1. Sorry you are having problems. Have you tried just getting the Fluid removed?
  2. I was a self pay and also worried. I have had no issues so far. The cost of my surgery included one year of refills. After that I hope to only have to go in for adjustments twice a year. I should be at my goal weight in the first year based on the weight loss I had since my surgery. Good luck!!!!!
  3. WOW- 6 weeks already for you. I can't believe it has been that long already. Congratulations on your weight loss. You are doing great.
  4. I think you should try to make better choices. Sonic slush is just sugar and at 9 days out I think you should be trying to get in the habit of taking in good calories-not bad. Old habits are hard to break. Sorry! Just my thoughts!
  5. Welcome to Lap Band Talk. I wish you good luck with your lap band!!!!
  6. This whole thread is too funny!!!! LOL Thanks!!!
  7. What this poster said!!!
  8. You are eating larger portion and hungry between meals. Seems all DR's are differnet in the time they want you to wait between fills. Mine is every 4 weeks.
  9. WOW good luck. You are a very patient person. I don't know if I would have made it a whole year!!!!!!!
  10. I was a self pay and lost 7 pounds on 2 week pre op. My DR said that was great!!
  11. I disagee. I did nutrisystems and could not stick to it because I was starving and adding food to it. Therefore I did not loose weight and wasted my money! Claudia- If this helps you stick to smaller portions then it may work for you!!! Good luck!!!!!
  12. Hello Denise and welcome back! Congratulations on your baby!!!!!!
  13. No you are not too old. I am 54 and just banded 2 months ago. I am down around 23 pounds and already my blood pressure is lower and my knees feel so much better going up and down the stairs!!! Good luck!!! Wish my isurance would have covered me but I am a self pay!
  14. 3 days sounds about right-but do try to stay on liquids for a day and then slowly work your way into solids. Hope you feel better soon. FYI I had fill number two yesterday around 1PM. I drank Protein shakes after and had one small greek yogurt. I will see how mushies go down today!
  15. Another Texan here and also a self pay! Welcome to Lap band talk and good luck!!
  16. Surgery on Wednesday morning, back to work the following Monday. I do mostly admin work and had no problems.
  17. I am going for fill number 2 today! I experience the same hunger you are talking about too about 2 hours after eating! Plus my portions have creaped back up!!! Got my fingers crossed too!
  18. Congratulations Chelsea and welcome to Lap Band Talk!!!!!!
  19. Hang on! it's about to get better. Hopefully you will be eating your mushies soon!!
  20. Congratulations! This web site really does help!!! Before surgery and even more after! Let us know how you are doing. try not to worry. You will do great!
  21. Hi Andrea. Welcome to Lap band talk.
  22. I didn't have a liquid restriction after my first fill. I was told I might need liquids or mushies, but could eat whenever I could.
  23. Let us know your decision!!! I have been watching this topic for a while now so don't leave me hanging!!!! I still stick with my original comments. You can do it but you will regret it!!! Take care of yourself and I hope you prove me wrong if you decide to go!
  24. Try to not cheat and follow what your DR has asked. The band is brand new and not firmly in place yet. Taking it easy the first few weeks is to give the band a chance to become firmly in place so it doesn't slip. Get right back on your liquids!
  25. Congratualtions on your lap band. Each day will get better. Walk as much as possible, take your gas-x strips and your pain meds! Good luck!!!!!!
