  1. I was banded on 8/18/10 - I was still able to eat regular. I didnt think it was working so I had a fill - originally didnt feel anything really and with the holidays, eating sweets, I gained. It was so frustrating! So I finally decided to cut the sweets and carbs, and I am eating some good carbs, and I feel fuller now when I eat. You have to change your way of eating and if you must, cheat here and there, not all the time. If you fall, you get back up and continue to go. Its ok. I was told today by Dr. Posner that the good foods will stay in there and last longer, that the bad things like sweets and carbs go through the band faster - therefore feeling less full. Cut the sweets and and try other sweet things like grapes, or sugarfree Jello. Hope this helps!
