    Chest hurts..

All of you have been GREAT! Thank you so much. I dont know what I would do without this site! I am still having pains this morning so I am still gonna contact the doctor (that's what he's there for right, lol) but it does make me feel SO much better that I'm not the only one. I am having the same problems when I drink Water Colorado_Bander. I just started on the GasX chewables brbm6, so hopefully they will help. I will stay on top of that. I dont think I have anything in my band yet because when I got out of surgery he told me that I would get my first fill in about a month, but I will still inquire. Thanks!!!
  2. Hello All, I was banded 4/14/11 and I have been having really bad chest pains that go up to my throat and fill like I want to either burp or throw up (sorry). Has anyone else had this problem? It hurts and it's very uncomfortable. Will probably contact my doctor tomorrow, but needed some advice. Thanks.
  3. I would be so scared to do this! Glad it worked out for you
  4. I am only required to be on a week.
  5. I'm not worried about drinking or eating what I want, I'm mostly worried about getting in all the liquids I need in. Sometimes when I'm out I totally forget to eat sometimes! So I can only imagine forgetting to drink my protein and water. Thanks JourneyGirl for the idea of pre measuring and putting it in my purse. I actually love this idea! Thank you!!!
  6. Mine is a week. Some surgeons require two weeks.
  7. Hello All I start my pre-op ALL liquid diet on Feb 24th. I have a pretty good social life on the weekends and I would really hate to give that up since I work so hard during the week. I am to drink 7 8oz of powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury a day. While this is not a problem during the week, while I'm at work, how do I do this on the weekend when I am running around? Also, how do I still go out at night if I want to. Does this mean my life has to stop? Any suggestions or stories are appreciated at this point as I have been thinking about this for a long time now! Thank you!

    Do I need the Band??

Welcome :-) I am around the same weight and a little shorter. I understand what you are saying about whether you think you are big enough for surgery because I went through the same thought process with myself. I have my pre-op appt tomorrow and to be honest I am still thinking it! I believe it is a major decision you have to really be ready for. Go to the seminars and talk with your doctor. Being "big enough" has nothing to do with it, it's about being healthy and feeling good about yourself. Good luck!

Dr. Brian Long - Dr. Brian Long

My surgeon will be Dr. Long. I'm extremely happy with Sibley and the staff. They are the most professional people I have ever met!
  10. Hello! Luck you! My pre-op is next week and I already know it will be all liquid. Hope I dont get too hungry :-(. We are similar weight and are having our surgery around the same time (my date is 3/3). Good luck!
