Happy Friday all! Wow, did this week fly by! 2 week’s post-op – all is going well. I am down another 7.5 lbs since surgery on Feb 9 for a total of 22.5 lbs. Stitches are dissolving and can be gone now! I have become the puree queen! I have become very creative and like my creations. I carry food with me when I am out and about so I never get in a tough situation. This is working really well. Last night was my first business meeting dinner with some good friends & business contacts. OMG can you say a sticky situation. I thought I would be able to eat slowly... I ordered an appetizer with shredded pork. I ate slowly and all of sudden it got stuck. Not only did it get stuck but I started to feel faint and light headed. I didn’t want to pass out. I didn’t want to alert my dinner friends so I just sucked up and thank god it passed. Today I still feel full and still stuck. I am going to stay with a liquid & puree diet for the next 48 hours as well as a nice walk today. Maybe next time Greek or Mexican may be better choices. Not to much on for the weekend which is nice. But the other week's ahead are really busy as we moved DH dad to a senior living and have a offer on his family home. so once it closes we will have to clear out the last of the remaining items. We are having cold weather today in Vancouver it is to hit -10. That is really cold for us on the West Coast. I wish everyone a fabulous Friday & great weekend! Cheers, Kristi- 2 week's post-op

I have the same thing too. I was banded Feb 9th. I thought maybe I over did it. Not sure if it is my big stitch or the bandages but today I have more of a rib cage ache. I might call my nurse but I mentioned it to her and she didn't flag it.- I'm here to help...
Hi gals, I had a great Sunday watching my niece win her division for the province and place #1 and my nephew placed 3rd for his. They wanted pizza so auntie treated. The smell is a close we will get to eating it! I 8had 2 yummy pizza`s stare me in the face for about 20 minutes and I survived! I have reached a point that I am hungry every 2 hours. I have stayed on the plan and just always have a carry pack of good food choices with me. Today I am going to get back onto Jello & broth in between meals to help with the hunger. As my favorite is my chocolate pudding with whey Protein mixed in. The down side it is 120 calories. I am eating about 840 calories a day. Thursday I start stage 4 of food & my stitches can come out. Since they tug I will not wash them out and let them fall off as I have the strips. Feeling better but get tired at the end of the day. I think my stitches are sore not from my exercise but from bending to get things & a brutal work week. Now that my DH is home from being away I will lean on him more. I have a busy week with lots of meeting day and night but I will make myself #1. Thanks for all your support. I hope everyone else had a great weekend. Have a great week & see you on-line. Hi all, Day 9 post-op and I think I have over done it as I could only do 10 mins on my elliptical and my stitches are sore. Resting but all good In Vancouver today it was another gorgeous day with lot of snow on the mountain and the sun shining strong for a high of 8 degrees. I had a nice day. lunch with some girl friends & a big afternoon nap afterwards. My hubby is away so I get to watch chick flicks – yippee. Tomorrow I get to watch my niece & nephew bowl in their tournament. Then I get to meet an old friend who is passing through town who I haven’t seen for 30 years. We have known each other since kindergarten. Have a great weekend! Cheers, Kristi- I'm here to help...

Shanya - I have only been banded for 1 week. I too was scared. I had tears of fear & joy starting 2 days prior to surgery. Surgery prep when they gave me oxigen for my asthama and left me alone in the room. I lost and started crying uncontrolable. I had my little cry & then pulled it together as I know that I would be happy on the other side. Leaving the fat girl behind and starting my new journey to the new me. I also pulled myself together as I didn't want them to cancel my surgery. I was so scared to fail my pre-op diet as well. I told hardly anyone that I was getting a lapband. Not even my parents. The fear of failure has been huge. Now i am on the right path and staying motivated to create success! Hi all - Thanks for all your positive support. I started stage 3 of pureed Protein. Yummy, but I was hungry all day. So I just sipped Protein shakes. Today I got back on my eliptical for 15 mins on level 1 and then a 15 min walk. 15 min seams to be the max then my main stitch pulls so I stop. Treated myself to a pedicure, polish change today & brows threaded . Pretty in pink! Lori - welcome home! Phyllser - get better! All - have a great evening & rest of the week! Cheers, Kristi- I'm here to help...
Hi gals - Glad everyone had a good v-day. Mine was not that eventful as I was tired after my first day of working. I worked at home but had a lot of emails after 3 days off. Hi gals, I doing well on my 3rd post-op day. Down 2 more pounds . Feeling good, had a shower today - yipee! Had pureed oatmeal for Breakfast but it didn't go down that great. Dancingnancyva, It is hard the first 3 days then it gets easier. You can do it! Stay focused on the prize & end result! The headaches will go away. You will start to feel good. I didn't make any plans during my pre-op diet so I was put in tough situations. Stay strong! K - I'm here to help...
