  1. Hi - I just wanted to let you know that about 4 weeks after surgery, I too had shocking pain in my chest (right in the centre) and also in my back between my shoulder blades. I went to my doctor who sent me to the hospital as he was concerned I had a blood clot. CT scans showed that I didn't. I was told that i had viral pleurisy that had absolutely nothing to do with the band. I was on really strong pain killers as well and after about 2 weeks the pain has subsided. The pain was excruciating but I was glad it had nothing to do with the band.
