  1. I had gall stones for 2 years prior to my surgery. My surgeon wouldn't do my lap band until my gall bladder came out. Because of the problems that can happen after lap band. So had gallbladder out 1 month before lap band. My symptoms: pain like yours, also had sweats, and nausea, of course there are others... If you need it out you will feel alot better afterwards.
  2. Had my lap band 11/27 went home 11/28 suffered all night with diarrhea, chest pain and sob, bariatric nurse called 9am 11/29 and she sent me to the ER..after I told her what was going on. Went back into the hospital 11/29 until 11/30. Could have been a blood clot in my lung or band slippage nobody knew until I went to ER. Came to find out I had pneumonia. Had IV antibiotics. Until you go to see a Dr you can never know.. I know I was very sick...
  3. Hi, I am just new to this journey but I am ready for the ride. I was lap banded on 11/27/06, I am 5'1" and had a bmi of 41 when I started. Lost 21 lbs since starting the whole process. I am on a regular diet and unfilled.. Will get my first fill 1/16...... I am here to live and learn. This is the first I have posted but have read post for awhile. Wanted to say.... Thanks...for all the helpful hints/surpport.
