  1. Hi, I am 7 weeks post-op, first fill Thursday as well...I am feeling the same way as you! I am hoping for a change in how I feel so that I don't eat as much. Let's hope for the best. I am stuck at 10 pounds down, so 16 sounds impressive to me. Good luck.
  2. I am 7 weeks post-op and my first fill is scheduled for this Thursday. The first week after surgery I lost about 10 pounds because during my initial recovery I did not feel hungry at all. Since then, I have been feeling fine and have been eating pretty much normal for the past several weeks. This worries me because I have not lost any more weight beyond the initial 10 pounds and I am concerned it will creep back up. Will this first fill give me the feeling of not wanting to eat again? Will I feel differently at all? I know they fill gradually. I am getting impatient and want more results. Thanks in advance for any feedback.
  3. I have just begun my research on lap band, attended an information session last night, and am going through the process to see if my insurance will cover the procedure. I am so intrigued by the possibility of getting thin after so many attempts and failures. Anyway, my question is after lap band surgery, will I be able to eat any regular food? Will I ever be able to have a piece of cake, or crackers or chips or potatoes...my comfort foods? I realize I will only be able to eat small amounts of food, but will I be able to eat a variety, or will there only be certain foods that I will be able to tolerate? I am ready for the brutally honest truth...lay it on me.
