  1. I have had my band since 11/2010 and for the, past 4 months I had bad acid reflux, waking up with vomit after, being asleep and I couldn't take the heartburn and acid pain I went to see my dr today and confirmed my doubts my band slipped. I have a big pouch on top of my band. Im so upset and heart broken. My dr unfilled my band conpletely and says to go back in a month to see if its back to normal to get filles again. Im scared, worried and in total panic. I am self pay customer anyone here gonw thru this please help!!!!
  2. Great information. I had my band for almost 3 years. I got my band at 24yrs old. I lost more than my goal weight. From 230lbs I got to 137lbs happy as can be and with no exercise. I got pregnant and needed to get my band unfilled due to hard pregnancy. I gained 60lbs I had my baby 9 months ago today and I only lost 25lbs. I been going back and forth to get fills and unfills for the past 6 months. Last unfill was in April because I had extreme acid reflux and would wake up from my sleep chocking with vomit in my mouth. I finally got tired of sleepness nights and went to dr today! My band has slipped pretty bad. They unfilled completely and hoping my stomach goes back into place. I also have gallstones and I thought that was the reason why I was so sick. Im so devastated that my band slipped. Im scared of gaining weight I dont know what to do.

    Banded yesterday! Have questions...

Hi, the gas pain is normal and its gonna take a while to go away, sometimes when I eat veggies and salads I get the pain too. But everyone is different. Regards to the medicine try not to take it with your pain medicine. Incisions sound like their fine just don't touch till your doctor tells you to clean or bathe. Hope everything goes well. Hi everyone, I was banded yesterday, and it all went smoothly. The only thing is the gas pain from surgery is really painful. I have been walking today (around the house, and twice down the street to the mailbox) and it still hurts. I thought it would be gone by now! The pain from the incisions sights seem to be just a little uncomfortable. Also, in my pre-op meeting with the doc, he said I could take my butalbital prescription for migraines if necessary. Just cut open the caplets because they are too big to swallow. Of course I had a migraine today, took it, and then realized they have caffeine in them. Think I should worry? I have a call into the doctor's office and I am waiting to hear back from them. One more question, on the dressings for my incisions, there are just a couple of little spots of blood you can see through the dressing. Smaller than a dime. Is this normal? Sorry if I'm being a baby! Michelle
  5. I am in the same boat. I had my second fill this past Wednesday and today is Saturday and I should be able to eat soft/solids.It hurts when I drink Muscle Milk. I been having soup but all I eat is like 3 teaspoons and I'm so full that I feel it coming back up. Today I had one chicken nugget and I had so much pain I couldn't eat anymore or drink till an hour later. I'm not sure if this is normal? Any advice?? Hi all, I went in for my second fill yesterday. My first one was fine, I didnt feel that much restriction at all. This one, I feel so much restriction. While I was in the office, he had me drink Water after the fill and it went down fine. Well, yesterday I could barely even get water down. By the end of the day I was able to get a tiny bit of soup down and some water. Even when I am drinking something, it tries to come back up and there is a little bit of slime with the soup. I also feel incredibly full after a few bites of soup. We are now on day #3 after the fill and it hasnt gotten much better. I can get a little more water down without it coming back up. Im supposed to start mushies today but there is no way I will even try because even with water, I get a little reflux and feel so full. Is this normal due to swelling? What is everyones experience with their fills? does the band loosen a bit from the swelling a bit after the fill? Should I call my dr to get it unfilled a little more or should I wait it out. Im not in extreme pain right now, its just I feel a little weak from no food and not a lot of water. Oh, also once I take a few sips of soup I get so full to the point that I start to hiccup. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

  8. I am 24 years old and I had the lap band surgery about 2 1/2 months ago. I have lost about 27 pounds so far. Yes I see my arm really loose already : ( The rest of my body looks pretty good to me just my arms. I have another 50lbs to loose just hope my arms don't get any worse. But at the end it's a small lost compare to losing the weight, feeling better about my body and feeling healthier.
