  1. what caused the band to erode, and can you take measures to prevent it...and does EVERYONE gurgle..I dont want to gurgle...I just started reading the complications threads and it is making me nervous......:omg:
  2. I sit here reading these posts as I eat ettamens coffee cake w/ creamcheese AND a brownie mixed in with it...not that I am eating for size, I am PMS' ing and crave sweets during that time...but I figure..this is kind of my "last Hoorah" before my 1/31 surgery date...I dont want to have "pb"s and hope I dont bruise and hope my skin firms back up and want to go back to work in five days...this forum has been a godsend..I lay in bed at night and imagine what my clear liquid diet will consist of, then my smooth mushie diet..and imagine chewing and not drinking pop...so much to think about...I will certainly be hitting ya all up for tips as the day approaches...
  3. Can your partner feel it? I dont have a Significant other, but I am sure I will in the near future, and I dont know if I would share my secret...so is it obvious...also, does EVERYONE experience the gurglie noises? DO TELL:confused:
  4. hey gals.. I had my pre op H and P yesterday and everything is a GO...I dont need a pre op diet as I thought I might, and all my vitals are good...I have surgery on Jan 31...I cant WAIT...I am nervous and scared but I KNOW it is going to be worth it...I have discovered bottled crystal light and love it..I am weaning myself off the diet coke and have had monster headaches, but my Dr. Simpson says drink tea, that will help..anyway, I enjoy reading everyones posts and like all the encouraging words..keep it up...see ya
  5. hey...I am getting my band jan 31..I am five four and weigh one ninety six~ I have been so unhappy and bloated and disgusting for so long.. I have an off the track thoroughbred who I feel suffers every time big big ol butt gets on his back...and am counting the days to my surgery...my doctor only recommends two days of clear liquids, then soft creamy things on day three...I noticed alot of you had to be on liquids for weeks! I am going to remember to treat my new tummy size like a newborn baby's, and hopefully I wont have too many side effects, I plan on returning to work five days later...so anyway..heres to a new life that doesnt revolve around my next meals~ see ya..:kiss2:
  6. hello...I am a regular poster on the chronicles of the horse forum..which is the exact format of this forum so I already feel at home...I am excited and nervous for my surgery....but really am looking forward to becoming a good rider again, as my weight has affected it greatly... Dr. Terry Simpson in Phoenix will be my surgeon and I am confident I am in good hands:clap2: ...my biggest concern will be my brain...how will I turn it off? I will be depending on support from ya all so just warning you now!!
