    December 2010 Bandsters out there?

I'm still here!!!! just trying to whittle down those last few pounds like everyone else. On Monday I weighed in at 151.4lbs. Its so surreal that I'm on the cusp of the 140s. Like a lot of other comments out there....it seems like its taken forever for the last few pounds to come off but at the same time it feels like just yesterday that I was going into surgery. my brain is definitely having a hard time catching up to my body. I'm still working out a lot, tracking everything I eat & start every meal with protein. Saturday I went out for a long bike ride & ended up going 70 miles. it felt SO great!!!! I feel strong & fit - totally new experience for me. Joan - so sorry about the band slip!!!! please keep us posted on your next surgery. sending happy thoughts your way.... cheers, chloe

    The End of Summer Challenge

chloe here....weighing in at 159.6lbs. down about 3lbs from last week. ya-hoooo!!!! a new lowest low for me FINALLY broke into the 150s Its gotten sooooo slow - I was in the 160s for over 2 months. I love being at home - so much better when I can cook at home & hit the gym regularly. cheers, chloe

    December 2010 Bandsters out there?

vickyd- girl! you look so fabulous!!!!! what amazing pics. great to hear what all the other December Divas (that includes you, Dave) are up to. As for me, I think I'm coming to the end of my journey....although its gotten *very* slow here at the end. Right now, I at 162lbs (5'8") and have been in the 160s for 2months. I'm somewhere between a size 10 & 8 and medium tops. My original goal was 145lbs but I'm not sure thats the right endpoint for me. I've decided to shoot for 153-155lbs. I should be a solid size 8 at that point & then I can decide what the right next step is. Another 10lbs or plastics? I know why its slow....too many carbs & sweets have crept back into my daily diet. Also, my work travel has jumped up a lot in the last 3 months and I struggle on the road. I'm better when I'm home & on a routine. On the positive side, I don't expect to travel for the next 4-6 weeks which means I can plan my meals, cook at home & hit the gym often. Also, I started doing a lot of cycling & really love it so I signed up for my first big race. Its in 2 weeks and its 67-miles. eek! Going out for a training ride tonight.... cheers, chloe

chloe here. weighed in at 170.4 this morning. same as last week, I think. sigh. I am in desperate need of a fill but can't get in til next week. My goal is just not to gain before I can see the dr. I know, I know - not very ambitious but its realistic. off the the gym tonight! cheers, chloe

    Frustrated with food!!

agree with reverie. a tiny unfill - you'll be amazed at what a difference it can make! maybe try more fish - I especially love tilapia & halibut. Fast & easy to cook, good Protein & pretty soft so easy to get down. cheers, chloe
  20. first fill didn't do that much for me. "Restriction" lasted about 2 days but then I was hungrier after it. It was 2 weeks til 2nd fill. Just got to power through it. Thankfully, my doc is pretty aggressive with fills. Band started empty, 1st fill was 4.5ccs, 2nd fill was 1.5ccs. 2nd fill turned out to be a bit too much & I got a slight unfill. Waited a few weeks & got a small 3rd fill. I've been at this point for almost 4 months now.....but I think I'm ready for another one. cheers, chloe

    Best Protein Shake, HELP!!!!

I start every weekday with a shake. I've never been a breakfast person & I am not going to get up any earlier than I have to just to eat. A shake fits into my schedule very well since I can drink it while I'm primping in the a.m. Starts my day with a lot of Protein & I don't snack mid-morning. everyone has their own preferences when it comes to Protein shakes. You've got to try some before you find something that *you* like. The best I thing I did was go to Vitalady.com. This site sells single servings of all the protein powders they offer. The single servings run about $1-$1.50 each. I ordered a bunch of different ones - liked some, hated most but this approach was a lot more cost-effective than buying a huge jar and then finding out I hated the taste. Vitalady also lists a bunch of shake recipes & ideas. Personally, I found the lower calorie ones (125 ca//serving) needed a little something to improve the taste...so I add 1c. soy milk or frozen berries. I really like the taste of the higher calorie ones (200 cal/serving) & they didn't require any additional enhancers - just some ice & a Magic Bullet. cheers, chloe
