  1. Dr. Gallus did my VSG in April 2011 and I could not be happier. My care was excellent and the program at NMCSD is the best. While it seems that the many tests and classes you must attend prior to the surgery are tedious unnecessary, I assure you they are not. I have lost 65 lbs, 10 inches on my waistline and gone from a bmi of 36 to 26. I no longer need medication for high blood pressure and I feel great. Just stick to the program. If you try to outsmart the system, you will sabotage your own success. In short........It's the best thing I ever did! Good Luck!
