  1. Hello, everyone! I live in NC and was wondering if there are any NC sleevers out there? I'm finished all my pre-op appointments and I'm now waiting for my surgeons office to receive my clearance from the pysch eval that I passed. I am so ready for change. I've committed myself to changing my life style for the better. I quit drinking soda 3 months ago. I only drink Water and if I want something flavored I use crystal light or others like it. I even moved to clean eating. Because of those changes I lost 22 pounds. I am hoping to have my surgery before the year ends since I met my deductible and out of pocket max. If anyone would love to share where they are at the process, I would love to hear it. Tabbatha
  2. My moment was not being able to tie or buckle my shoes without a struggle. I'd have to get my daughter to do it for me. Also, being put on high bp meds and having sleep apnea. It scared me that I stopped breathing 90 times in 1 hour. That's crazy!
  3. I also have Anthem HRA too and they required exactly what you listed. I'm waiting for my surgeon's office to receive the info from my psych eval that was approved and my blood test results and then they can submit for approval to the insurance company.
  4. Doing the happy dance for you. Yay!!!!!!
  5. You look great! I cannot wait to get my sleeve.
  6. I completed all my pre-ops and I am now waiting for my surgeons office to call and let me know that they have submitted everything to the insurance company.
  7. Mines was the same as 1SuperBonBon. I also had to take 2 online questionnaires. One was 165 questions and the other was 368 questions. They asked questions about do I see things or hear things. The questions were interesting. I must say. lol I was nervous, but the psychologist made me feel at ease. I wish you all the best.
  8. My labs came back positive and I had to take a 14 day prevpac. Those meds tasted nasty. I got through it and had to do another follow up test. That follow up test was nothing nice. lol
  9. Exactly! I don't blame you for not wanting to have that hold you up. There's more than enough to do with the process already.
  10. I use the one that only goes over your nose and it's really comfortable too. I really like that one. I get 14-16 ramps. My hubby has the full face mask and he doesn't care for it very much. I love mines!
  11. My sleep doctor had already scheduled me for a 3 month visit after I went the first time. That c-pap machine definitely works wonders on my sleep.
  12. We will all get there in time. Sometimes patience is a virtue. I wish you all the best on your journey. I'm definitely learning a lot of new things!
  13. Congrats! I took my psych eval today too and was approved. Now all I have to do is see my sleep doctor on this upcoming monday and get clearance from him. Then my surgeons office will submit the paper work for approval to the insurance company.
  14. I can understand how you feel. I've always had conversations with my doctor about weightloss, but never mentioned to him that I was considering weightloss surgery. Once I made my decision to have the surgery I then had the conversation with my doctor and he recommended that I do have it since I have struggled with my weight issues. He told me that he fully supports in every way and plans to help me in my journey. I wouldn't be so afraid. You would be surprised about how your doctor will support. Besides you have all of us here backing you too! Tabbatha
  15. Thank you all so much you guys for all your stories! I really appreciate you all!
  16. Hi, Donna! Welcome! How has your experience been so far? I haven't been banded yet. I actually go for my first appointment soon. I am excited and nervous!
  17. I am going for my very first appointment with the LB Dr. I wanted to know what your experience was. I am excited yet nervous as I don't know what to expect. Thanks!
  18. Hi everyone! I am new to this site. I am planning on having lap band surgery. I've been on yo yo diets for years. My wake up call was when my 37 year old brother died of a massive heart attack in his sleep. He was obese most of his life. My mother as well is overweight. She has high blood pressure and at times has to wear a nitroglyerin patch. This scares me. I've tried to find many ways to lose weight, from starving myself to South Beach diet. I would lose weight and gain it all back and then some. I want to live a healthier lifestyle and be able to do more physical activities with my kids. Tonight I go for the seminar and then I go for my consult soon. I am looking forward to being a new me. Thanks for listening!
