  2. hi! i figured, since im always reading posts on here, i might as well register. I was banded on Nov. 23, 2010. by Dr. Quilici in Burbank, CA. my starting weight was 286 pounds. i was put on a liquid diet for 2 weeks before surgery and a week before i saw the Dr. again and weighed in at 269 pounds. a week later was surgery, and i weighed in at the hospital at 261 pounds. This morning i weighed in at 251 pounds. after surgery, i didnt feel any pain at all. just the gas pains. even after coming home i had no pains just bruising on my stomach where my port is. yesterday has been one week since ive been banded, and boy does my back hurt! just when im sitting though. did anyone else have the same problem?
