Hi Tina I am getting a little more excited as the days go by,My appointment with the surgeon is on Janurary 10th,I think thats about 2 weeks,I am hoping that they get a responce real quick from my insurance,I am ready!!!! Hi there,just look at it as a form of rehab.you can not put a drug user in a room with drugs and expect him how to use,and you can not put a alcholic in a liquor store and not expect him to have a snort,so think about it (you can't put a chocoaholic in a room with a box of chocolates and expect to come back and have a full box.....not that im calling you any of these,,but resist the temptations and tell the person that you would prefer a fruit basket ,,,or if they want to get you something chocolate,,the GNC sales chocolate protein shakes,,, ...Just have fun with it and don't over do it because its fun taking off clothes expecially the ones that are too big for us...but I cry every time I put on something that I have to have resized and taken out..... .....camille01

Hello My Friend As they say "I think you found your sweet spot! " "CONGRADULATION" On the First go round,not being hungery on the liquid diet ,,that is wonderful... i am still hanging in there I found some very incurraging friends on this site (I guess all I have to do is read and understand everybody's situation is different even though the surgery is the same,some peope are faster healers than other,some of us can tolarate the pain better than the rest,but one can't be placed above the other but with the power beyond what is normal we are able to do a lot of things, with your self and lonnie200t and skinnychick,I think you guys are very special friends I am really glad to know because with the words of incurragement that you all offer me makes me very happy to accept and it makes my road down my journey more pleasent for me to walk it...thanks and you continue to heal and do good because I may have to have a shoulder to lean on later....camille01

the blogs that I have read you hear most people say that they have no restrictions and are starving,where the doctor has you on liquid diet,I would have some eggdrop soup or some french onion or something good that wont go against what he tells you you can have,,, I want to congradulate you on having your surgery,I've read several of your Blogs..keep up your post on your weight lost because your Blogs are encurraging to others,.good luck with your weight lost,I havn't had my surgery yet I am anxious but paitently waiting....camille01

congradulations!!!!!...I am waiting for my 1st appt. but its a good wait...I can do it,I was told by a friend the other day,why rush your life,don'tyou want to be around to enjoy it once you get it, and beleave you me I want to see my self in a size 14-16 again.....so take your time and enjoy yourself,learn what your new(2nd) chance is all about and live life as it was ment to be lived(enjoyed)....camille01

I havn't hit Onederland ,I'm not even close but that is an expression that people have when they hit there "GOAL WEIGHT" I kinda wish I was that close I hav't had my surgery Yet,I am still in the baby stages,I'll get there one day soon.....you take care and let us know when you get to Onederland...OK.....camille01

If you want to,Im not trying to turn you away from here but if you go to forums theres a section for people who has had the sleeve done,where you can get the incurragement from the same opperation,(i have a question,how do you feel,I have a friend that wants the sleeve done she is so excited,what procedure did you have to go through?what recovery time did you have,by the way i Havn't been banded you and I have question of any one that has had any of the 3 surgerys done,.....please let me know......camille01

I always wondered why people Never have pictures taken of themselves taken,I finally figured it out,When you are overweight you have a tendency to hide from the camera,I know I do but every once in a while I will take a nice picture and suprize myself because it looks really good,I wouldn't want anything happening to me where my children couldn't find any pictures of me,God forbide if I was to have an accident and they had to have a picture to reconstruct my face they would have to use my high school pictures....My question is why would you hide from the camera now because"If you ever want to show anyone how you looked before your sugery how could you If you don't have nothing to show?God loves you if you are big or small(ugly or a beauty queen)take some pictures and show yourself some love...I want to remember myself FAT OR SLIM.

Hi there,I was reading as well where some people that go through slipping or erosion of the band went ahead and had the sleeve done but thats something that you really have to give some thought about because it is not reversable but the lapband is,If you havn't attended a siminar yey Please do because the info is so important and informational with this,the gastris bypass and the sleeve removes a part of the stomach but the band doesnot,thats my only problem with thise surgerys,and the recovery time is longer....but you have to talk to the surgeon and your PCP about what you want to do......good luck with your desision.........camille01 ,by the way I am 44 yrs old and married for 4yrs(weight in at 267 and I am 5'6 ),I am going to do the lapband,I am still waiting on the insurance and my appointment to come around

hello catlady,I was just reading your Blog and in order for you to understand that will take place and the quilifacations go to www.lapband.com this is the information website,it wll answer all your questions,but besides looking up information on the surgery you can go to the lapband.com website and find a place near to your residents and schedule yourself for a informational siminar thats where you start at,once you go to the siminar and get the doctors info and call to get your first appointment then you will start your journey from there,they can then tell you if your insurance will pay for the surgery.....once you find this out every thing else falls into place from there.....good luck with everything .......camille01

just think of it as a begining of a brand new life style,just Imagine what a toddler has to endure when they start eating,its not to bad,its just a new begining.....Mine is just getting started,My first appt.is on Janurary 10th and I am so happy,i think I've waited long enough....

Thanks Deb,It seamed the more people that I tell the less I give in to the negative comments,I've learned to let the comments be my incurragement,I've told my mom and she says well if you fell that this is what you won't to do,do it for you.and that is the most positive thing my mom has said to me in years and I've just turned 44,so I started to learned that this is my body and only one that I need to get premission from Is God because he's the only one at my age that I have to answer besides my Husband and he says as long as I feel that this is what I want to do then he;s all for it.....so thank you for the incurragement,,,,,,

yesterday 12/15/2010 was a good day I think, I was going to my Doctor and got a pleasent suprize,when I made it to my PCP office to get a regular check up for my suprize he wasn't in but the receptionist was,she says to me (Dr.PCP) is not in today he had a family emergency to attend to,I couldn't be upset because I was a walkin,then she said (his wife is taking his paitents would that be fine)or would you like to reschedule I told her all I need was my weight Management form filled out and she says that Im sure she won't mind doing it ,so once I went to see my Dr's wife of course she's a heart doctor and she says I'm glad you come in,Its time for me to check you heart anyway,so I got the chance to explain to her that I wanted to have the Lapband put in and she was excited for me,that made me so happy because I was looking for a negative responce but It made me feel like I finally got someone to see what I was looking at,she says I think you would do very well with it, but 1 thing I want you to do (use it to change your like because you are very a beautiful girl now but with 100lbs less your husband would really see the pearl thats in the shell,I asked her if she would fill out the WM form she says definatly, She was wondering what was taking them so long to get me scheduled,I told her that once you go to the siminar you have to chose a surgeon,she asked me who did I choose and I told her,and she said thet I have chosen a wonderful doctor,and I have to keep in mind that this is a life change and to do Just as the doctor tells me to and I will have great success,just don't go back to my old ways because when you do something for 2 yrs make it a part of my life,and If I need to have a checkup on hy heart she would be more that willing to fill out the forms.......Thank you Dr G, with all your incurragement you have really made my day........

there is a fish oil pil that is better than the regular omega #3 you get from rite aid----it is still omega#3 but it is Krill oil,you can get more pills for less at Costo,Sams,or BJ's or any of the warehouses,,if you watch Dr Oz on Television he says that the Krill oil pills are better for you and they are a lot smaller and won't get cought in the band.you can also look them up on the internet,,

Hang in there guys,I was told it gets a lot better,I've not been banded yet but after the pain stories I still want it,you know how we are we have to to it ourselfves in order to beleave it,every body situation is different but the gas is still the same,and also there is a website strickly for baratric surgery,where you can buy your vitiamns and protein products,....ILL get the website and repost if any one is interested...........camille01

Hello:you are probley excited about the surgery,I dont think its nothing to worry about,I had one done yesterday and honestly I was looking for something to be wrong but the doctor said that I had a strong ticker,she says I need to do a stress test on you before you have the surgery and her nurse says well she has had ond not even 6 months ago so I got out of that,so dont let it bother you ,I think it was where you were excited.....keep your head up and do what they ask and you will be fine...camilleo1:D

I read one blog yesterday and it said that you have a team waiting to serve you ,so if I was you I would call the Doctors office back and let then know that you don't have enough restriction in your band and see what they tell you,If they dont want to bring you back in so soon just start drinking a protein shake 30 minutes before actually eating your meal,that might do...atleast it will help with the hunger....but I would call the doctor back,,,,an old saying is ,,,nuthin bets a failure but a try....camille01
