    RUNNING TO THE BATHROOM

    OH AND I CAN NOT EAT BREAD AT ALL (SNIFFLE) LOL....TODAY WAS A MUCH BETTER DAY. I HAD MILK/PROTEIN SHAKE FOR BREAKFAST WITH JUST SLIGHT ISSUES BECAUSE IT WAS RIGHT AFTER WAKING UP. THEN I HAD A COFFEE AND I JUST HAD TO SLOW DOWN BECAUSE I COULD FEEL THE BUILD UP. OF COURSE IT WAS ICED :0) THEN FOR LUNCH I HAD CHICKEN POT PIE. ABOUT HMM 1/2 CUP. BUT I DIDNT EAT IT ALL BECAUSE I STOPPED WHEN I WAS FULL. THEN FOR SNACK I HAD A SMALL BANANA. THEN FOR DINNER I HAD A HALF OF KASHI OAT MEAL WITH SKIM MILK. I DID WELL!! NO RUNNING TO THE BATHROOM TODAY!! WOOHOOOOO!!!
  5. MY DOCTOR FILLED ME EVERY 2 WEEKS UNTIL I HIT MY SWEET SPOT AT 6.5CC'S. I NOW GO BACK EVERY 4-6WEEKS FOR A FILL. I HAVE LOST 60 LBS SINCE MY SURGERY IN DEC 2010. I WORK OUT 4-6 TIMES A WEEK THAT INCLUDES WEIGHT TRAINING AND DIFFERENT VERSIONS OF CARDIO. I ACTUALLY JUST GOT BACK INTO SWIMMING. LAST TIME I WORE A CAP AND GOGGLES I WAS A SENIOR IN HIGH SCHOOL IN 1997. I AM COMPLETLY IN LOVE WITH THE LAP BAND. YES WHEN I GET A FILL IT IS ANNOYING THAT I CANT EAT THE FOODS I WANT TO. BUT I ALSO CANT EAT THE FOODS IM NOT SUPPOSE TO EAT. THE QUESTION I HAVE FOR THE PEOPLE THAT ARE NOT LOSING ANYTHING OR EVEN GAINING IS, ARE YOU WORKING OUT OR DOING ANYTHING DIFFERENT PHYSICALLY? THE GETTING MOVING PART IS A HUGE PART OF GETTING INTO A HEALTHIER WEIGHT. I CAN SIT THERE AND SAY THAT I HAVE NEVER HAD FOOD/CANDY SINCE I WAS BANDED. THAT IS A COMPLETE LIE. I HAD SUNDAES 4 TIMES IN ONE WEEK LOL. BUT I STILL LOST 2-3LBS PER WEEK. NOT SAYING THAT WHAT I ATE WAS PERMISSIBLE, BUT I STILL WORKED MY BUTT OFF IN THE GYM. CALORIES ARE CALORIES I GUESS. EATING THOSE SUNDAES WAS NOT A GOOD WAY FOR ME TO GET RID OF THE BELLY FAT STILL LINGERING AROUND MY WAIST. I HAVE BEEN EATING CLEANER AND MORE ORGANIC NOW THAN EVER SINCE BEING BACK ON THE SITE. THERE ARE WOMAN MY AGE LOSING OVER 100LBS IN LESS TIME AFTER SURGERY THAN ME!!!! IF THAT IS NOT MOTIVATING I DONT KNOW WHAT IS! SO FOR EVERYONE SAYING THE BAND IS NOT FOR THEM OR THAT THEY REGRET GETTING THE BAND, REEVALUATE YOUR DECISION. IT CAN WORK IF YOU USE THIS TOOL PROPERLY. IT IS A TOOL. JUST LIKE A HAMMER CAN HAMMER IN THAT NAIL, THE LAP BAND HELPS WITH WEIGHT LOSS. YOU JUST HAVE TO WORK AT IT. AS FAR AS RESTRICTION FOR ME, I HAVE CRAZY RESTRICTION AS SOON AS I WAKE UP IN THE AM. AS THE MORNING GOES ON I CAN FINALLY TAKE A FEW SIPS OF WATER. I ALSO HAVE MORE RESTRICTION AROUND MY PERIOD. SORRY GUYS. LOL BUT I HAD TO GO THERE. IT SOUNDS CRAZY BUT WOMAN GET SWOLLEN AND BLOATED. WHICH IS A COMPLETELY NATURAL PROCESS THAT UNFORTUNATELY AFFECTS THE BAND. SO WOMAN? DONT GET A FILL UNTIL AFTER YOU ARE DONE WITH YOUR MONTLY CYCLE. AND MY DOC DOES IT RIGHT IN HIS OFFICE ALONG WITH A FEW PA'S. I FEEL SO SORRY FOR THE PEOPLE WHO DONT HAVE ACCESS TO A FILL WHEN NEEDED!! BUT ANYWAY! THANKS FOR LISTENING TO ME RANT LOL

    Dying of thirst...

    THE HOSPITAL CLOSEST TO WHERE YUO HAD YOUR PROCEEDURE SHOULD BE ABLE TO UNFILL YOU. OR IF YOU COULD GO BACK TO THE HOSPITAL THAT DID THE PROCEDURE WOULD BE PERFECT. TRY WARM LIQUID. STAY AWAY FROM COLD. THAT MAKES YOU SPASM AND NOT BE ABLE TO SWALLOW. IF YOU CAN'T GET WARM LIQUID AND I KNOW I SAID SATY AWAY FROM COLD BUT TRY ICE chips. SLOWLY. BUT IF YOUR URIN IS GETTING DARK HEAD TO THE HOSPITAL, ITS TOO HOT OUT FOR YOU TO NOT BE DRINKING ANYTHING.

    I JUST GOT A FILL 2 DAYS AGO. I DON'T FEEL TOO TIGHT. I'M NOT UNCOMFY WHEN I EAT. I JUST FEEL LIKE MAYBE I'M NOT EATING THE RIGHT FOODS? AND I KNOW I AM EATING TOO FAST. I WAS JUST WONDERING IF PEOPLE HAD THIS ALSO. I'VE HAD THIS 6.5CC SET FILL FOR A FEW MONTHS. IT DOES LOOSEN UP AFTER ABOUT A WEEK. I JUST EAT SMOOSHY FOODS FOR THAT TIME AND SLOWLY ADD MORE ON.
  8. OMG!! GOOD FOR YOU!! I THOUGH ME LOSING 60LBS WAS GREAT!! I HAD MY SURGERY IN DEC 2010. I DIDN'T GAIN WEIGHT UNTIL I GOT PREGNANT WITH MY DAUGHTER 12 YRS AGO. THEN I STOPPED BEING ACTIVE AND THIS JUST BALLOONED FROM THERE. LOL. WELL GOOD LUCK WITH SCHOOL!! AND THOSE LAST 30 LBS. I AM CONFIDENT YOU WILL LOSE IT BEAUTIFULY :0)

    Love my Band!

    I GOT MY BAND DEC 14TH 2010 :0) I WOULD ALSO DO THIS AGAIN IN A HEART BEAT. I LOVE LOVE LOVE THE LAP BAND LOL. DRAMATIC I KNOW BUT I HAVE LOST 60LBS AND I FEEL AND LOOK GREAT! I HAVE 30 MORE TO GO!! NOT BAD AT ALL! HOW MUCH HAVE YOU LOST?

I WAS WONDERING IF ANYONE ELSE HAS ISSUES WITH RUNNING TO THE BATHROOM TO PB AFTER EATING AND CHEWING AND CHEWING AND CHEWING LOL....(THIS IS GROSS JUST AN FYI) IS IT SLIMMY AND THICK FLUID THAT COMES OUT? ITS NOT REALLY MUCUS, BUT ITS CLEAR, SCENT AND TASTE FREE. NOT ACID FROM MY STOMACH EITHER AS THE FFOD HASNT HIT MY STOMACH YET. I FEEL LIKE I NEED TO TAKE A BITE CHEW SWALLOW AND WAIT A HALF HOUR BEFORE I TAKE MY NEXT BITE. IF I DONT WAIT THAT LONG (KINDA), IT COMES BACK UP. ITS ANNOYING AND I KNOW I SHOULD SLOW DOWN. BUT THE FOODS I AM EATING ARE NOT OR SHOULD NOT BE AN ISSUE. ADVICE PLEASE?

    Would you get an unfill if you were me?!!!

    I WAS BANDED IN DEC 2010. I ALSO HAVE 6.5 IN MY BAND. I FEEL LIKE AFTER THE FIRST WEEK AFTER A FILL THE BAND LOOSENS UP AND IM ABLE TO EAT MORE OF A SELECTION OF FOOD. I THINK THAT MAYBE YOUR FOOD SELECTIONS MIGHT NEED TO BE REVAMPED AND START FROM SCRATCH UNTIL YOU FIGURE OUT WHERE YOU ARE COMFORTABLE AND WHERE YOU ARE UNCOMFORTABLE EATING AFTER A FILL. WE AREN'T SUPPOSE TO EAT MORE THAN A CERTAIN AMOUNT OF FOOD AND I STILL GET CONFUSED ABOUT WHY I CANT FINISH A SMALL YOGURT. IT'S PART OF THE BAND AND ITS PROCESS. I MYSELF ALSO NEED TO LEARN HOW TO SLOW DOWN AND NOT EAT LIKE I DON'T HAVE THE BAND. LOL. I FIND MYSELF RUNNING TO THE BATHROOM FASTER THAN YOU CAN BLINK. IF YOU GET FULL FAST THATS FINE. THE FOOD WILL BE THERE WHEN YOU ARE HUNGRY AGAIN. I HAVE LOST 60 LBS SINCE I STARTED GETTING MY FILLS. BUT IF YOU ARE SERIOUSLY UNCOMFORTABLE AND CANT EAT A NORMAL LAP BAND MEAL THE GET THE UNFILL. BUT SERIOUSLY THINK IF ITS BECAUSE YOUR OVER FILLED OR BECAUSE YOURE UPSET YOU CANT EAT MORE YUMMY FOOD. I HOPE I HELPED A LITTLE. I HAD TO GO BACK FOR AN UNFILL WHEN I ASKED FOR 7CC. OH BOY I WAS PB'ING EVERY FEW MINUTES JUST FROM SALIVA. NOT COOL. NOT COOL AT ALL. SO 6.5 IS MY SWEET SPOT. BUT SOMEONE ELSE MIGHT BE A 6 OR A 6.25. GOOD LUCK. I HOPE YOU FIND YOUR SWEET SPOT :0)

    How to deal with friends?

    These best friends comments are very sad! As everyone including myself say, I did this for me. If people do not like it, to bad. I am happy and all I need is my family and daughter. Maybe the best friends really aren't so best as they seem, or maybe they are afraid they are going to lose their best friend when you lose weight. A new body, new self esteem, new life, new friend circle. Whatever the reason is, you need to clear this up and ask questions to find out why they are acting so distant. You don't need negativity in your life. Be happy for you and your new journey! Its a great one! Hope everything pans out ok!
  14. I can only think of maybe one or two things. BP and HR usually go down with athletic or active people. Being nervous or high anxiety can alter both of those dramatically. Also any kind of stimulant like caffeine or herbs to give you energy and possibly sugar and sodium intake could change them also. Females cycle and Water weight has something to do with it also. Make a list of everything herbal/caffeine wise you are taking (chocolate has caffeine!) And keep track of your workouts in conjunction with your supplements. Bring the list into your doctor and see if thats what it is. These are all within normal range as you had said. Normal is betweeb 60-100 for a heart rate (mine is high 50's) and BP is 120/80 or around there, the lower the numbers the better on the BP. (mine is usually 90's/60's). If your doc didnt have anything to say about this then you should be fine!! I am not a doctor/nurse but am an EMT. Your doctor knows you better and monitors you more closely than I or anyone else who posts. All of these facts you are able to Google them for verification purposes! Hope all is well!
