This is the best motivational speech ever! I think it should be copied and pasted every day on the new surgeries list! lol

I am on day 11 and I no longer care about food! lol Yesterday, I could see my husband's food and think "I want some of that." Today I saw it and thought, "I want some of that." but when I actually thought about it, I couldn't even picture myself eating it or what it tasted like! lol I had no feelings about it at all! It was chili. Hope this lasts through next week and hope that all of you just starting on the diet get to this point too!

My surgeon's plan is "progressive" they say. I will be cleared to introduce absolutely everything back into my diet as tolerated starting week 5. I won't be pushing it because I'm not one to do that, but technically will be cleared to try anything.
I have 1 week of fluids, 3 weeks of soft and released after that.

I'm thinking it goes back to how each of us is different. Maybe some of our bodies take a while to see if this is really happening and really going to be this way before it starts letting go of its fat and maybe others loose quickly initially and then pause to see if it's really going to continue!
I'm on day 11 and I lost almost 2 pounds a day last week but only 1 pound this week. I think my body stopped to ask what the heck was going on?! lol
At some point, existing on those numbers has to work with the increased activity through exercise as well.

Home! Post-op day 2. Probably should have stayed an extra day at hospital just to regulate pain but am going to tough it out! Just trying to stay hydrated! Tomorrow I will work on protein! Have to call doc office tomorrow with some questions! Hope all my Dec 9th sleevers are feeling good!

We were iced in all weekend and I barely ate, no snacking, got out for a final steak dinner Sunday, and come Monday on preop and I feel like I'm going crazy with hunger! I truly feel it's mostly psychological!
I really admire those who have had to do this for more than a week!
Mine is 4 Protein Shakes w skim milk or 5 with Water, sf Jello or Popsicles, clear non carbonated drinks. Oh and only one 8oz of low sodium broth a day.

It is so weird. This is my second week on preop and I just made beef Jerky for my dogs (human beef jerky) and to not even have a piece is just so weird. I know, though, that I'll be able to eat it again soon enough. I lost a lot more days 1-8. So far this week, it's a slow go!
I only have one week of postop liquids, which I'm glad for!
I did go shopping today and didn't even have to think twice about food or what I couldn't have. It was neat to realize that it wasn't consuming me today!

My nerves are waaay up!!!!!
Did the sleep study last night and the sleep doc found nothing wrong -- no sleep apnea. Just like I thought
Still waiting for my primary doc who is conveniently out of town to clear me -- most likely the other doc in her office will clear me ASAP
One day liquid fast starts tomorrow (oy!!)and VSG scheduled for Thursday dec 12
Yikes!!!!! Aaaahhhh!!! I know a new and better quality of life awaits me
Feeling like I may need an anti anxiety pill but I'm trying to stay strong --- avoiding negativity from family and online commentary on the subject of WLS and trying my best to stay positive

Thank you all for your encouragement and support. I honestly just don't know why this happened all of a sudden, but I am prepared now with the tiniest little pills I have ever seen.

I can't believe how fast this day came. My nerves. .my head. .This liquid diet...ughhh. Anxiety is thru the roof right now. Tomorrow...Tomorrow. .I love you tomorrow!

Tomorrow is the big day for me! Oddly, I'm not nervous yet. Just excited! Now on to bowel prep. Yay....

Holy moly did I have a bad night last night. I was doing GREAT...still so excited about my surgery which is tomorrow, and all of a sudden, it was like the floor fell out from below me, and I started getting extreme nausea and heart was racing, and I couldn't sleep (got about 2 hours).
I got my surgery time today and spoke with the nurse who called, who recommended I call my primary for an anti-anxiety medication - she had no problem calling in a script for me...but sheesh, I had no idea that would happen.
This time tomorrow I should be all done...with some extra anti-anxiety meds

My surgery is scheduled for 1:30 pm today, but we're having a snow storm in New England so we'll be getting an early start.
It's been a long road up to this point, but I feel very ready. My daughter was sobbing last night when she called from college and my wife is very worried, but I'm not as nervous as I expected to be. I feel confident that I've followed all of the instructions and am very comfortable with my surgeon, so it's time to remove 85% of my stomach and move on to the next phase of my life.

Hi pals, I've been so busy with work, school & completing my pre surgery stuff that I didn't get a chance to check in. So please please please pray for me since everything is being forwarded to my insurance today. I am excited and happy. I wrote a nice letter to them since my BMI is a 37. My surgery is December 30 and I cannot wait until that day arrives . Hope everyone is doing ok.
