Mine still hurts (13th) I don't even try to bend over. Too afraid of popping a stitch somewhere. Standing and sitting are the worst. Sorry, I'm no help. I do know that I'm not usual so I wouldn't base anything in my experience. Hope you feel better soon!

So, better late than never, but I FINALLY got insurance approval at 2:30pm today. It took alot of phone calls to get insurance to push it through, but My surgery is scheduled at 3:30pm tomorrow. I am going to be one hungry girl tomorrow morning!! So far I have lost 11lbs on this pro-op diet and am expecting 1-2lbs more tomorrow due to my clear liquid diet today. I am so excited!!! Please wish me luck! Xoxo

The most common reason for the shoulder pain is trapped gas from surgery. Walking is supposed to help but since you're not getting a lot in, I've seen others talk about using a heating pad to the area.
I'm 6 days out and declining in recovery (not serious, just feeling worse than better). Drinking the fluids seems like a full time job. Just today I started with the suggestion of literally setting a timer on my phone to take in 2 oz every 15 minutes. I've been feeling so full and didn't know if I was drinking too fast or too much, so following the timer guideline, I feel better about that.

The applesauce has 13 carbs and 50 calories. My liquid phase doesn't count anyhing other than total calories between 600-800 (I've been getting 580). Tomorrow's the day!

I agree about how disheartening not dropping sizes is! I lost weight over a year and a half omce and it was 50 pounds before I could drop ONE size! That was so painful!
Hope the other Decembers find their way over!
Congrats on your date! Can't wait for us to get this thing started!!

My final appointment is supposed to be 5 hours. It is supposed to be a nutrition "class" where they discuss the postoo plan in more specifics and also final visit with the surgeon.
    Welcome to the thread!

I'm going home shortly, yes!! My surgeon and the hospital were just amazing through my whole experience. The meds were good, the care was good, gas is finally almost gone. Just a little sore on the left which is to be expected. Incisions so small I won't notice them when healed. I had so much anxiety going into this but I was prepared in mind and body and now I am having no regrets at all. Everyone on the forum has helped so much I can't thank you all enough for tips and advice and support!! I hope all the December people do well and happy holidays to all

My surgeon said it almost doesn't matter what size it is because you don't know the surgeons technique. He said some go up right against it and some pull away from it some.

Hi all! I'm new on here and was sleeved on 12/09. My weight the day of surgery was 224 and I'm now down to 214 (I'm about 5'4). Still experiencing the left sided pain, which my surgeon said was normal since that's the side they pull your stomach out of. I can't wait until next week when I can start experimenting with soft foods. Getting enough Protein in a day is still a challenge, but it's getting easier everyday.
Good luck to everyone getting sleeved tomorrow :-)

I may have been unusual, but I have had no nausea. I know I was given IV's the night before with antibiotic and anti-nausea meds. I also had a drain and the "yucky" stuff left inside was draining out. So far, so good.

So sorry you are not supported at home. That can make things so much harder. Sometimes it is a fear that you may lose weight and no longer want him. Weight loss can definitely break up couples. Good luck tomorrow and remember you are doing this for you!

I was told we're not supposed to take NSAIDS due to the fact that they can cause ulcers in anybody but with our stomachs being so small, there us less room for us to develop an ulcer. We were told we could take it vert, very sparingly but definitely not regularly.
