  1. I have an appointment with a therapist this week. Thanks for the very kind words!
  2. How far out from surgery are you? Did you eventually get better and the anxiety subside?
  3. I'm three weeks post op and having panic attacks, depression and anxiety. I hear its normal at first and the first month post op is the hardest because we can't eat or drink much. Is this real? Is it a hormone imbalance or what? I've heard all different theories. Please tell me this feeling will subside.
  4. I too wake up feeling nauseated. I can't figure it out. I'm 21 days post op.
  5. I'm day 20 post op and started diarrhea about an hour after my cream if wheat. I add a little maple syrup to it and hasn't bothered me yet. Could it be dumping today? I've gone to the bathroom 3 times the last two hours. Should I be concerned?? I was also constipated this morning but went potty pretty good prior to eating the cream of wheat. Is my body just letting go of everything maybe backed up?? Concerned..
  6. I didn't ask about slider food because I want to know what "trick foods" are. I simply didn't know what the term "slider foods" were so I asked. Please don't assume or doubt my intentions.
  7. I too just had my band removed and sleeve done in 2/10. Doing great and soooooooo happy I moved forward with surgery. The Lap Band should be taken off the market. Too many people with serious issues.
  8. FYI.. I didn't abuse diet soda prior to my surgery. I would have one or two a week and enjoy it. I was just curious what the census was and how many veterans drink it once in a while.
  9. It's me again.. Just curious. I'm only 11days post op and so many questions. What's everyone's slider foods?
  10. Just curious.. When did everyone start eating popcorn? How does it digest? I love light microwave and air popped. Is it in my future?
  11. Thanks for posting. I'm day 11 post op and whammo!! Pain and soreness out of no where. I've been laying down most of the day because it hurts. I'm like you.. I don't sit still when I'm feeling good. Yesterday I had to drive four hours for my post op doc appointment so maybe that caused a little more pain too.
  12. OMG I'm day 11 post op and that same kinda pain hit me today too! Thank you for posting this. It made me feel so much better knowing it normal. I was starting to get a little freaked out since it has stayed with me all day. I even took a pain med. I've been off those for a week.
  13. Just curious.. How long until everyone started eating lettuce and salads? I've heard some people have issues with lettuce.
  14. FYI.. Just was curious about the veterans two or three years out. I have taken my surgery very serious and followed my doc and Nut's instructions fully. I have no intentions of drinking soda anytime soon. Please don't assume I'm falling off the wagon just because I asked.
  15. I'm nine days post op and I've started having heartburn and acid reflux. Does it calm down as the tummy heals? Please tell me this isn't a forever thing...??? This sucks!
  16. I know I certainly can't drink them now being 8 days post op but I was wondering if anyone drinks soda (diet) once in a while?
  17. Whew girl!! I'm a Lap revision patient too and last night I fell asleep hard on my side for a couple of hours. I woke up very very sore on the side my port was on. I think your right about maybe us Lap people have a harder time side sleeping .
  18. Pedialyte did me wonders!! I'm 8 days post op and was feeling pretty weak and no energy. I tried Pedialyte since it had double potassium compares to Gatoraid. Whew did that help my energy and give me a good pep!
  19. Can you get a dumping feeling with the sleeve? I'm 8 days post op and just had three bites of non fat yogurt and felt light headed, followed by nausea for two hours. Was it just too much for my system? Help! Thoughts guys..??
  20. I was able to sleep one hour on my side last night too. Ahh.. It was heaven and a good start. Same for me too.. No excruciating pain but just some soreness and pulling when flipping.
  21. I'm one week post op and going through the same thing. My boyfriend has been taking care if me but with my emotions and anxiety about something going wrong with myself has made extra tension. I'm an emotional roller coaster going through the same thing. I'm also going through some WTF did I do to myself??? I keep hearing this is the hell week and it will get better.
  22. I'm one week post op and the NUT says only four kinds of soup. Butternut, Cream Tomato, Split Pea, and Lentil. I thought it was a strange pick of four soups. She said to only stick with those. I'm just curious why I can't have other soups such as potato, celery, or cream chicken. All of those are more bland and less rough on the tummy I'd think. Pea, tomato and lentil are not the easiest on the tummy with acid, and fiber in the peas and lentils. What soups to you all eat phase 2?
  23. When is it safe to sleep on your side? i was wondering when everyone was ready to sleep in their side? I'm one week post op and still can't be on my side for more than 15 minutes.
  24. Thanks for the kind word and true heart to heart about a leak. My surgeon is very very experienced so I'd put him in the less than 2% range. I'm 1 week post op now and feeling much better about the leak risk. I was panicked about a leak happening. I literally had panic attacks over it my first two days at home. I'm happy to say in healing well and continue to focus on positive thoughts about this.
  25. The NUT said its because it could get stuck.
