I have my first appointment with Dr. Simpson on Thursday and am really excited. I am just wondering if there will be any out-of-pocket costs for me throughout this process or does that just depend on my insurance? Does Dr. Simpson have fees that just aren't part of the insurance coverage? Just curious so I can prepare for that. Thanks!

I don't know if this is the right place to ask, but I was wondering if anyone has had any out-of-pocket costs with Triwest. A friend of a friend is having the lap-band surgery in a couple of weeks with a different insurance company and she says she has $1200 in fees she has to cover. She made it sound as if it was the doc that charged the fees, but I would like to think insurance would cover it. Does TriWest cover 100% if they approve the surgery? Thanks!
