Hello!! I'm Just started the journey to my new "thin" life..I'm so excited for it and stressed a lilttle...i'm starting my options classes next week on the 16th at Kaiser Baldwin Park! I cant wait to find out more info and actually start my journey! so here are a few questions i have but i know will have more but theses our on my mind as of now: Cant i take my husband/others to my classes? How long are the classes? Can you speed up the classes?

yes i'm hoping with time he will see the benefit of it! and he has said " that will mean we can go camping and hiking!" so yes i think he knows but is still scared!

Same as of the the band!! i was all set for it and then i found this site and talked to others and i'm kinda sure i'll be get the sleeve done! i Just started the options class so i have alot ahead of me before i can have my surgery but i was told to look into what surgery i wanted since my ins covers all 3 and to set a surgery date goal! i dont know anyone that has been sleeved but i have a friend that had a bypass but she told me if she could choose she would get sleeved! i'm 25 years old..married and have a one year old son!!

Hi there, I'm just starting my options classes in the baldwin park kaiser on the 16th which is next week! i'm looking for a buddy that i can start my journey to a better life with!! and some who will help get my butt out for a walk or excerise!!

yup! i got a scaredy cat husband!! lol jk but we talk about and are open with our feelings so tonight i'm going to have to talk to him about it!

Thanks DJaskson! but i've been hit on in front of my husband so he kinda throws that at me like"imagine when your thin?" like really please!! i lett him that if i havent left now i'm not going to!! lol i guess men are crazy!!

hi Lilmissdiva!! thanks for the postive words and support!! i'm hoping once i get the surgery and once i'm recovering he will see that i'm all his and his alone!! i think i'm going to have to talk to him and let him know that i feel he desevers to have his trophy wife!! lol i'm happy to hear that your house is peacful once again!

Hello, i'm just starting with my options classes and i havent had the surgery yet and this is stressful enough without having my husband bug out on me! but my husband has never said anything about my weight ever...and when i ask him he says just more to love or as long as im into you what do you care what others think! so i've be blessed with a thoughtful and supportive husband...i think this is coming from fear..he said he's scared that something might go wrong!? which i understand!

I have never had my husband say that to me before and he has seen me thin and seen me know at my biggest! i think he doesnt want me to have the surgery because he is scared something might happen!?

I know that he's coming from a place of fear....He told me last night "what if something happens to you?" and said he couldnt be without me...so i think thats why i've been pushing the WLS..because this isnt the first time he said this to me! i've could have had the surgery 6months ago but his fears scared me so i pushed it off! good luck and great job on the weight loss!

Yes Juliarh he is a great husband!! we have been through alot of ups and downs and i think that is why it was so left field for me!! I mean i was "skinny" once when we first got together so why would i leave now after 11years?!! lol ugh men!! iguess thats all i can say! thanks for the support!!

Hello, i'm so excited for my surgery....I'm just starting my journey to WLS.....with that being said I've only told 3ppl about it, one being my husband....He is trying to be supportive and be here for me but in the same sentences he says"when you get skinny your going to leave me?" and laughs!?:confused2: so i'm confused!! Is this just happeningto me? is my husband really thinking i could do such a thing? I mean my husband is thin, good looking, and young! we have been together for 11years..since we were 15years old! so he has been here through my darks hours, child birth, the passing of my mother, my teenage skinny years...he has been here for all of it so why would he think i would leave??? I think he doesnt understand my fight with my weight because he has had to have the stares when he introduced me to his co-workers,being Breathless while trying to play with our son, hoping he doesnt want the lights on when we are making love, going to store and having him say "babe this is a really nice dress see if they have it in your size" which they never did!! all the back pain and the feeling that i'm not the pretty wife and mother my husband and son deserve! okay i'm going to stop now because i'm crying........ Am I the only one going through this???

love it!! But for me, my husband knows because he his here with me daily and I need some support! My son is 1 and as of right now he doesnt know whats going on but I'm sure once I'm home and i cant hold him or pick him up he'll pick up on mommy isnt feeling good...i've also told two of my aunts one is trying to be supportive and one not so much...besides that once i get home from my surgery my immediate family will know and as of friends I'm only telling the ones i know that will be supportive! MY MOTHER IN LAW WILL NOT KNOW UNLESS MY HEALTH IS IN DANGER!!!!

Omgoodness!! I just seen how bad my spelling is!! I think I should stop having my son sit on my lap while I type! I'm every new to this and I cant wait for my options class to start!! I need all the info i can get! My husband wants me to do the lap-band because he thinks it safer!!and he thinks we can eat better with the band!!???

wow i was really wishful thinking i could get it done by January...you know a new year start!! but yes my Dr. at the bp kaiser wants me to do the sleeve or the bypass not the band but i'm kinda scared!! i'm now leaning to the sleeve..i'm hoping the class helps me out with all my questions..i'm excited! i'm so looking forward in being a healthy and skinny mom and being able to play with my son! did your husband have to do a phys? thanks so much for replying and i hope your husband is doing good!

Hello all, I’m new and I’m looking up with surgery is best for me…my INS covers the sleeve, bypass, and lap-band!!??? I looking for which is best for my lifestyle ….I have a son that is 1 but it took us almost 10yrs of trying…which we feel has a lot to do with my mothers passed 3month before we found out…so once I get the surgery and we get the okay we will be trying once again for our second!! So please lady’s let me know why did you choose the sleeve over the others surgeries???? Thanks!

Ooh I hope so!! I've been looking online and I'm kind of set on the Lap-band! I have a 1year son and I need something with a good recovery time and fast hospital stay!

When my husband and I started dating (which I was 15 and not big) he was fine with it but now im 25 and 100lbs bigger!! He is still fine with it!! Don’t get me wrong he loves my curves!! He says he'll miss them but he knows I’ll be healthier and be happier with myself!
