  1. ski'ed when I was a kid. This summer my goal is to try and learn to wakeboard. Might be pretty lofty goal, but it never hurts to try. Chris
  2. Thanks man, Thst is my passion! I am afraid that once my kid gets old enough to ride with us my wife will never see me from December to May haha!! Gotta love big horespower on a 450 pound machine Chris
  3. Well guys, i feel really good and have started to get pretty active. If anyone is scared of post band pain and such I have a pic of me I will post 2 wweks and 2 days postop! Just so you know, I asked my doc and he said an easy ride would be fine 2 weeks postop. We did an easy ride of about 45 miles and it was a great day.My sled felt great and pulls hard with the almost 50 pounds gone right now I am starting to eat more though, feeling like I am alot more hungry. I can't wait till the 18th of April Chris
  4. Well guys, I was getting to thinking that everyone left me here alone I was pretty busy for a bit. Got to finally go on an easy ride as per Dr Gasners instructions, so I have a pic to show. One of my better fun one of me riding http://www.sierrasledders.com/memberphotos/sierrasledders/1458/Goldlake3-15-07.jpg Hope you all like I am down a few more pounds, Seems like it comes off all at once and then not again for a couple of days. Pretty strange! I need to stay off the scale for a while, but it is tough Chris
  5. went and rode all day today! I feel great and am hoping the kickstarts more weightloss! Gail, how you feeling today? What was the issue with the comp? Pam, howe you doing? Chris
  6. Well guys, Got out on the ATV's for the first time after surgery. It felt really good, but I was kinda low on energy. It didn't take long to get pretty winded. I didn't have ant pain or feeling uncomfortable though. we are going out on the snowmobiles tomorow, so this was a really good test to see how well I would feel. On an even better note, I finally got another 2 pounds off:) I know it goes in stages, but it is sure frustrating when they don't come off Chris
  7. not since banding, but when I went in for my first consult. I was at 342 the day of my banding. so 13 puonds in 2 weeks. guess I should not be complaining! Just frustrating when it stalls like this Chris
  8. it is my morning protien shake. 1 cup milk, 2 teaspoons CIB, i scoop protien powder ice and this AM I put in 1/2 a bannana Chris
  9. been a few days since any posts. Gail, how you feeling?? I kinda hit a plateau here the last few days. Been keeping my weight almost the same. Everythin else is looking good. Had a great shake this AM. Had a 1/2 bannana with my peanut butter shake and it was great the Macaronni and cheese yesterday was not nearly as good. It about made me sick, but I think I was eating too fast Chris
  10. That is where I am at! Lost a ton of weight right after surgery and then none in the last week! Just kinda hanging right where I have been. My first fill is not for a month and it is really discouraging to not see anymore weight come off. Chris
  11. A bit of a different subject here. Did anyone else go and see 300 today?? I went to the first showing this morning and am a bit torn. I loved the story line, and the acting was great, but I had a really hard time with the scenery. Not sure if it was over the top or not enough. Either way, I am glad I went and saw it. They were faithful to the original movie pretty well. Chris
  12. GREAT TO HEAR FROM YOU gAIL! You will get you appitite back, but it will be a few days. Take it easy rest and relax! Sorry about your comp. problems Chris
  13. congrats gail, glad all is well Chris
  14. Good luck Gail!!! i will be thinking about you today! Chris
  15. I also just had mine done a week ago so the memory is very vivid! I woke up and could not breathe!! Could not get a deep breath and was a little panicky! Only took me a few minutes to come out of it, but it still was scary. 8 days out and I would do it again in a second. Chris
  16. Hey boys almost 2 days and no activity?? whats up! Chris
  17. What Dr Ganser said was that I may not even need a fil. He really squeezed a smaller band on me than he usually does. He said that I will be suprised when I start eating regular foods that I will already have a pretty good restriction going efore I ever fill. Does that make any sense?? I do know that I am not feeling the restriction like I did before now that the swelling has gone down. I will feel something when I eat, but it is not the same Chris
  18. WELL, NOTHING SPECIAL in this AM's appt. just asked me how I was doing and if I had any questions. Looked at my incisions and got me an appt. for my first fill. Chris
  19. all I had were regular bandaids. Took them off as soon as I tok a shower. No stitches, just superglue. OK, went in and went to the bathroom and I am back to where I was before I took my shower makes me feel a bit better. we will see when I see him in an hour Chris
  20. Pam, I had some potato buds with Purreed chicken breast. This weight thing has really got me stumped though. I know I ate a little more yesterday than before, but I gained 2 lbs! Not my idea of good timing, I go to Dr Gansers today for my postop and was hoping to be down more. Oh well, I really hate going up! Red, I don't have any info on the TJ's out here, just what I have heard through the grapevine. I do know the TJ's in rossville is as small or smaller than Reno's. Chris
  21. Trader joes is great! I have heard the new one is opening up in the new shopping center in Pyramid HWY. Chris
  22. Feeling pretty good after today. Kinda tired, and getting hungry between meals. Speaking of bathroom problems, I have been having constant direah wen I go. I didn't even have this when I was on a liquid. I gotta say, this is really neat we are all real close to our stages.Very nice to be able to bounce stuff off of you all. Chris
  23. I really don't have a distance goal as much as I just walk hard for 30 minutes. I need to sit down and get a better work out schedual but for now the walking is pretty good for me. Right now, I am really trying to drop 30 more pounds before April 14. I would like to be there when we go to Oregon for the Round up and Brand at my uncles ranch. We go there every year to help. It is going to be a bit of a dissapointment this year, I am usually the mugger ( person who holds the calf down while they brand, vaccinate and castrate) but I will probably end up givving shots this year. Oh well, maybe next year I will be small enough to be on horseback! Chris
  24. It's been a slow weekend here. How is everyone doing today. Pam, are you going back to work today? My brother and I went to the boat and RV show. It was pretty nice, but I over did it some. Ended up coming home and taking a 2 hour nap:). Feeling petty good today, we are going out to the regional shooting facility today. I guess, if my wife won't let me go to work, I might as well play! chris
  25. I have already starteed walking some. I don't go back to work till friday. I have heard that alot of Dr,s tell women not to wear underwire bras for some time after surgery. My guess is there is some reason for the placement because that seems a pretty comon complaint. I am going to the boat and RV show with my brother today. we will see how I feel when we get back. Chris
