  1. Hi, I absolutely love my lap band! I was banded June 14th and 4 monthes later I have lost about 50 lbs which puts me at 175 lbs.. I honestly can't see the change in my weight but I fit into clothes that I havent been able to wear since freshman year. I have been getting comments on my weight loss which is a real self esteem booster. The only thing I wish was different is being able to tell people, I am worried about what people will say because I come from a small town where rumors fly around quickly and no one is slow to judge, that I am really uncomfortable talking about my weight and always have been, so the only person that knows is my mom who got the surgery the same day as me. But other than that I absolutely love it and I keep telling myself I don't need their approval and why am I keeping this from my friends but then I remember it is none of their business I did this for myself not anyone else
