I agree with everyone else. I am 9weeks and I consume 60-90g of protein a day, under 40g of Carbs and aim for the 64 oz of liquid. I have to consume 2 Premier protein shakes to meet my min protein for the day plus it counts as 22oz of liquid toward your 64oz for the day. I don't see a ticker so not sure how much you had to lose but the less your start weight you might not be seeing huge numbers out of the gate but it all adds up. My Dr says anywhere from 2-4 pounds a week is on target and you fall right in the middle of that. Try changing up your food and increase your water. Do they have you taking your vitamins and supplements? Don't be so hard on yourself - as many say on this site it is a marathon not a sprint!!!

I would hold off on the protein shake. your taste buds will change after surgery and you might end up wasting protein due to the change in taste. everything else that Itchtcatt55 suggested is great.

I think you're great to go back to work so soon. As for the shakes, I use a lot of ice cubes in mine and make into a very thick shake. The shake fills me more and it makes like you're having something naughty. I only drink chocolate and add decaf instant coffee and/or peppermint extract for an added change. Think of it as a McDonald's thick shake. Keep up the good work.

i am still pre op but i have received my diet paperwork before surgery and my NUT specifically says protein is a must!! are you getting protein from oatmeal>??? i highly doubt as much as you would an egg or a piece of low fat cheese or even a greek low fat yogurt. i would try to revisit with your NUT to steer you back in the right direction. your diet just seems to lack protein and frozen meals the sodium in those can be really bad for you. when you get a 1/4 of what everyone else is happening. ask yourself if your eating protein, veggies then starches and carbs last IF there is any room left. hey congrats on the weight loss so far!! i would LOVE to be 30 pounds down from where i am right now!! good luck to youuuu

I feel like you have to find what works for you. I've lost almost 40 at 2 months and have not exercised at all. I try to get in a lot of protein but sometimes I eat too little. Then I'll eat more carbs than protein on a certain and I'll drop a lot within a couple days of that. It varies. Try mixing things up-- more water, less protein, more calories, less calories. I think we all have something that works better for us. Your body can't hang onto the weight with a huge reduction in calories forever...it's impossible. Good luck!
