Feeling stalled.

Well it has been 21 days and I'm only down 7 pounds. I'm hungry all the time and not for nothing but can eat anything. I've eaten everything even had mushy pasta that I chewed till it was paste and still no restricted feeling. Told my case manager. All ayone says is "You have to wait 6 to 8 weeks after surgery to get a fill. I shoud be back up to 222 pounds by then. My famiy is being very supportive and my kids keep telling me "Mommy your doing great we are so proud of you." I guess me telling them I wanted to have this surgery because I didn't want to b the fattest Mom in the room all the time. Helps them help me.Thank God my daughter alsways says "We love you Mommy cause your mushy!" No matter what that coming from a kid makes you smile.:w00t:

Im almost 5 weeks post-op and I know how u feel! My fill is not till 3/4/09! But u have to stick with it. It is hard to do but when im hungery I try to drink alot and then im full. Atleast till I can eat again. I try to only eat 3x a day and have a protein shake at night. So far I have lost 20lbs. Best of luck to u!

Congrat! You have averaged more than 2 lbs a week! Way to go. You are above the goal line! Are you keeping track of what you eat? There are great online food journals out there that are completely free. I like sparkpeople.com some like thedailyplate. Remember you are still healing. Eating complex carbs like pasta, rice, potatoes or bread is going to bring on cravings too. Try to avoid them if possible. Protein is key in keeping the hunger at bay!

You are doing great! If you gain a few pounds while you HEAL it is ok. You will get a fill soon and then all with be explained!

    • I’ve used my Xbox for exercise games too and it can be pretty motivating, especially on days when I don’t want to leave the house. Kinect games really do make you move, and after a session with kickboxing or dancing, I always feel like I’ve actually gotten a solid workout. The controller-free setup feels way more natural for workouts than anything I tried on the Wii. Zumba is fun but definitely takes a little time to get the moves right. Lately, when I’m not working out, I spend time trading CS2 skins and finding new guides on this link. There’s a lot of interesting tips if you’re into games outside of fitness too.
