What is this lump?

I'm 1 month post-op. And on Sunday night I was in the bathroom looking at my incisions n like 4 inch above my lil incision on the right side i feel a fist size lump! what could this be?

So I call the on-call doctor. And he says "Do u have a fever or pain there?" I said no pain n no fever. So he said to call the office on Monday morning.

Well I call on Monday morning. And I speek with tons of nurses in the office n no one has ever herd of this before. n they say that it could be my herniea busted through or it could be my port. n since I have an apt. with them on Wednesday that they will see me then.:frown:

So my family is freeking out:out: saying that maybe my band slipped or it came undone. So they ask me why did I not speek with the Doctor. n well he was in surgery so he could not be reached.

After all the horror stories I decide to call the doctors office back n ask them to page the doctor for me. And in 5 mins the doctor calls me back. And he says no pain no fever so it just must be ur body heeling n that everyone is different. And he ask me to feel my port n make sure it did not move. And I found it. So I tell him my familys horror stories and he just laughs n says ur not gonna die today or tomorrow. (he is always joking) So he tells me that he will see me on Wednesday n he will check it out then n if i do get a fever or pain to call.

So I still dont know what it is but it seems to be getting smaller. idk? I guess I have to wait till tomorrow @ 11am!:toetap05:

I've read a few people here with large lumps near their port incision as that's also where the band goes through your abdominal wall to be placed (lots say egg size and one person here said baseball size). I think he's right that everyone is different...and from what I've read they go away very slowly. Let us know what happens and think happy thoughts ;-) You have your band!!! -BG
