3 weeks post op

Today is my 3 weeks out of surgery! Loving it! I am now on pureed foods (which isn't so bad)...sometimes things upset my stomach even though they didn't at first. Its going to have to be process of elimination on what I can and cannot eat. The only other issue I am having is I am soooo thirsty I feel like I can never drink enough WHICH to me is worse than feeling hungry LOL. Other than those two things I am extremely motivated and energetic. I'm down 20+ lbs. I personally DO NOT see a change BUT everyone tells me how good I look and my clothes do fit loose compared to what they were before surgery. I'm actually down 1 shirt size and 1 pant size (however I'm still wearing clothes from before my surgery). :)

Im drinking a lot too. When do you think you'll start buying clothes. Im freaking out because I cant foresee buying new clothes every month...we're not wealthy. I guess Ill try designer consigner shops for good stuff and other consignment shops for others. I have a major problem in that I have a 36 inseam ( I'm 5'10") and buying jeans from goodwill, etc. isn't usually an option. I can't wait until I can buy regular clothes, not plus sizes. I'm tempted to wait to buy clothes until then.

Deaddemmama- I actually started buying clothes prior to having surgery. I have 2 suitcases FULL of different sizes. I am part of an facebook garage sale page for my area and picked stuff up REALLY cheap! If you have a facebook look for one in your area. Saves a TON of money the only things I have had to buy is bras and underwear :)

My biggest concern is the hydration. How hard is it to get your water in? I am on my two week diet and I have been trying to practice sipping my water. I have heard the things that will make you feel bad the quickest is dehydration and not getting enough protein in. Any tricks you have learned so far?

I am just going to wear yoga clothes or workout clothes until I drop a significant amount. I do not want to keep buying clothes either. I have all kinds of clothes that have been given to me from friends and family members that will get me through the next few months in clothes. I know the shopping bug is going to bite when I lose 50 lbs. The thing is I will have to get things that will wear well as I get smaller. Smart buys! I am very excited. I have been pinning outfits on Pinterest to get over the shopping bug and to stay motivated.

    • I’ve used my Xbox for exercise games too and it can be pretty motivating, especially on days when I don’t want to leave the house. Kinect games really do make you move, and after a session with kickboxing or dancing, I always feel like I’ve actually gotten a solid workout. The controller-free setup feels way more natural for workouts than anything I tried on the Wii. Zumba is fun but definitely takes a little time to get the moves right. Lately, when I’m not working out, I spend time trading CS2 skins and finding new guides on this link. There’s a lot of interesting tips if you’re into games outside of fitness too.

And a BIG congrats on quitting smoking a second time! It was hard enough to do it once... So - when I say BIG congrats... I mean BIIIIIG congrats! ❤️
