So like i said above, this week I'm going though PMS and i've noticed that the entire week I've been hungry or with the need to eat. Has anyone gone through this, I actually ate all day long today and it's driving me crazy bc I've read that it's not supposed to be like this at all.

Please Help !!

Its good you realized it was just PMS and it will pass. Four days after surgery I started getting the same thing. I actually havent been able to gauge how this sleeve will work for me because Im so rediculously hungry all the time. It really sucks. If you have had your sleeve for a bit I assume things will go back to how it was before! Hang in there!

I got my sleeve on Sept. 19th, 2012 and it's almost 3 weeks now, I'm supposed to be on liquids only but the chicken broth is not doing much for me, I'm hungry after having it and having problems with sleeping :-(

I'm so disappointed, I did do research and almost everyone said you really don't get hungry !!

So Am I doing something wrong ??

Hi Anayoritz, I had my surgery on the 19th and I am starving but I also know that if you eat crazy stuff you may start dumping and boy I have heard some horror stories. I recommend asking your doctor move you up to cream soup. I am going to be totally honest with you. I miss chewing so much and crunchy stuff that I dream about it. But I also know that food is something I will have to learn to do differently.

Casein Protein? It's slow release. Also, during PMS your body needs extra calories (I read this in Willpower: Rediscovering the Greatest Strength)

As much as possible I would try to take everything in stride. Use a different type protein. They're supposed to stick with you longer; or are you still on clear liquids?

Slipping and sliding and getting back on track is going to be part of the journey, I guess. If you will accept that you are not superhuman and that being forgiving to yourself is going to be important, maybe you could shift your mental effort into self-forgiveness. I think that would be more productive than feeling terrible.

I'm not speaking from experience so possibly none of this will help. I haven't been to my cycle yet. But do be kind to yourself. About that part, I am sure.

Hang in there! I have complete faith it WILL get better!!!

I got some great advice while struggling with my hunger so I will share it with you, If your going to cheat, try and cheat on the healthy side! How did the pizza toppings and cheese burger set in your tummy? Was it heavy? Did the grease bother you?

TamaraS - the cheese and mushrooms were delicious, the cheeseburger made my stomach feel heavy, but i will stop cheating from now on, gotta loose the weight and focus.
