Post Op Day Three

Soon to be me

So, My sleeve was done on 12-19-11..I was suppose to come home the very next day..but due to the fact that i was soooo nauseous, and couldnt hold anything down, i had to stay another night. The gas pains were awful, and throwing up blood mixed with bile certainly was a highlighted moment either. BUT, Im home. I hardly had any sleep in the hospital, and am looking forward to climbing in my big ole bed this evening. I feel much better than I did, though, im still nauseated at times. The smell of things are getting to me as well..almost like when i was preggers, and had the nose of a blood hound. lol! Im still so scared that this isnt going to work for me, its so sureal. But im excited to prove myself wrong!

Hello!! I had my surgery on the 19th as well, and the exact same story for me!! Ended us staying an extra day at the hospital because i couldn't keep anything down. Every time I would doze off, some stupid piece of equipment started beeping...so I am thrilled to be home and get some rest finally! Let's keep up with each other...and see how things go. I feel better but have a rumble in my tummy that wont stop. Did they advise you to take anything for gas??

Yes, the doc told me to take gas x. I am feeling so much better today. took a shower for the 1st time since surgery...that alone can make you feel like a new person. I need to get my stats and pics up (will try that soon) but just to let you know...I am 35, live in Huntsville, Alabama and weighed in at 275 on my pre-op visit 1 week before surgery. I have no idea where I am at now...I need a scale. As soon as I can get out of the house, I plan to buy one. Thankfully no sharts yet...but I'm sure it's bound to happen...all I have had for nearly a week is liquid...eating broth and popsicles, i hate water...found Sobe brand lifewater...it tastes pretty good. It sucks that I will miss out on the holiday food...but i keep positive by thinking about cute clothes!! hope all is well with you today.

What worked for me was walking... even though you might feel some discomfort walk as much as you can and you will see how all the gas pains go away fast. Good luck!

Your going to feel great.

i was sleeved on 12*19 too, someone on here mentioned when you get the cramping sit straight up, shoulders back, and stick your chest out. It works for me cramping lets right up.
