I have been on here for about 6 weeks and it has given me alot of info. I am in my 2nd month of my 6 month process and cant wait for these next 4 months to go by!!! Went to my doctors appt yesterday and I've gained 2lbs!! Some would be upset by this but for me it was okay because my bmi is right at 40 and if I lose any weight I wont qualify :( so I have been obsessed with not losing weight in fear of not qualifing. My dietitian has me on a plan not to lose weight but to focus on learning my post surgery eating habits. The hardest part so far has been the not drinking anything while eating and learning to actually sip and not gulp. I hate when people look at me and say "you dont need to do that just exercise". I carry my weight well the surgeon even looked at me kinda funny at our first meeting lol until he had me pull my shirt up and he was like "ok now I see youre all middle" how funny is that :D

lol I can understand your concern with not wanting to loose weight pre op. I thought about the same thing I was going to try to loose weight before hand than I thought Oh no I dont want to hurt my progress and chances of getting the surgery. Its wonderful that your dietitian is working with you now and preparing you in advance for the life style changes to come. Well I wish you all the luck in the world on your journey God bless!

I posted last week about my fluid problems too. That has actually been one of my biggest struggles. Its great that you are making changes now so that there will be less suffering afterward. I hide my weight well too so I understand your feeling there. I wear clothes that keep it covered and am proportional no matter what size I am. My hip to waist to bust ratio is always the same whether I am 150 or 250. I have exercised and been active for years and I just slowly keep getting bigger and bigger so I don't listen to anyone who tells me to just "pretend I had the surgery". You ever notice the people who say that have never had a weight problem? Good for you for getting prepared and doing something about your weight problem!
