I am seven weeks post op..I am down 53 pounds. I feel like I am at a stand still. Haven't lost anything in the past week. I know I haven't been eating so much. My stomach won't allow it. I feel blessed to have lost this much so far. I am just disappointed that it has stopped. I need to lose like 150 more pounds and just want it to keep coming off. I don't want it to stop now. I see a lot of people post they have stalled like this before just to be patient. I am so trying to be patient but come on already!! lol..

Mixing up the routine always helps me blow through a stall. I tweak my carbs, protein and exercise and it has helped each time so far. You are doing very well, so don't get discouraged and good luck!

This process takes time. Thankfully it's faster than without the surgery. It's normal and healthy to have stalls. Losing weight too fast can be unhealthy. Also, pay attention to the way your clothes fit. Even if the scale doesn't budge, you may drop a size because your body is changing. I'm almost 3 weeks out and I'm starting to stall and I'm fine with it because I know it will come off eventually as long as I'm sticking to what I'm supposed to. I have always heard a real plateau last a couple months. So a week is nothing. Like I said, losing too much weight too quickly can be a bad thing. Be patient and chill out. If all else fails call your doctor and attend a support group.

I just got over my three week stall and Liz is right, the scale wasn't moving but I was losing inches. I am glad for the stall cause I was a little scared losing two pounds a day. :)

Congrats on your 53lbs. I can't wait to say the same, I am at week 4.
