Things have been going well I try to get up a lot and walk around the house. We have 2 dog one dog who likes to paw you( 74lbs) and the other will jump(41lbs) so I have been guarding my self with a fly-swatter. I think they know I am in pain and that I have some wounds so they have been trying to sniff me a lot. Over all they are being really good! My boyfriend has been so helpful with all my needs and very supportive.

 

I have been scared about eating to much or drinking to fast. I have been trying to pace myself very slowly. I keep getting gurgle feelings inside my stomach and I hope that I won't have to throw up. Has anyone else experienced these gurgle feelings after surgery?

    Yes, I am in week five and still have these gurgling noises. I had them with the lap band also. I called them plumbing noises as it sounds like water slowly going down a stopped up drain. I too am afraid of eating and or drinking too much. Consequently I am not eating very much at all. I just need to remind myself that it will not be like this forever.

    I am 4 days post op and I am struggling with food and water issues. Very little of what I am allowed to eat or drink pass for food. Several "foods" are already making me gag. On the bright side, my stomach/abdomen are less sore each day and I am feeling a little stronger every day. However, I am talking to myself and telling myself to just "hang" in there and I wil be fine.

    I would enjoy chatting with you or any other "newbies" in the group.

    hi...i'm 8 days post op and i am experiencing the gurggling sounds too. feels pretty funny sometimes. i have started my full liquid diet on yesterday and i still struggle with putting anything in my mouth. just want to make sure i don't mess up anything...lol i have gotten through some soft grits and unsweetened apple sauce...

    i am a newbie, but if anyone else has any suggestions, let me know...:-)

    hello there. i am 8 months out and i still experience the gurgle noises. it is very nausating at times but it does get better. just keep doing what you have been and you are going to do great..
