Well I didn't get out of the house till day 5 and I stayed out for 4 hrs. When I got home I was supper tired. I didn't start feeling real good till day 4 I had so much gas pain. Every day my diet changes like yesterday I had mashed potato for dinner!!! I was super excited, ate too fast and it felt like it was getting stuck. Now I know what that feeling was when I was eating too fast, because I know I take eraser size bites. I have not felt full yet I am too scared to find out. A lot of my diet has been tomato soup. I work for a Head Start company and we have been in trainings and will be for the next 2 weeks. It was hard yesterday to watch all my friends and co-workers all day cater meals. I kinda feel " here I am the looser bring her lunch and smelly protein drinks". I just have one incision that is tender and makes me sleep on my back still. I am a stomach sleeper so its hard to fall asleep.
  2. Omg I feel the same way! my diet says to have a cup of broth but i cant get it all down. It took me an hour just to get a cup of jello down. I just feel so full what should I do? I was sleeved on Monday.

Things have been going well I try to get up a lot and walk around the house. We have 2 dog one dog who likes to paw you( 74lbs) and the other will jump(41lbs) so I have been guarding my self with a fly-swatter. I think they know I am in pain and that I have some wounds so they have been trying to sniff me a lot. Over all they are being really good! My boyfriend has been so helpful with all my needs and very supportive. I have been scared about eating to much or drinking to fast. I have been trying to pace myself very slowly. I keep getting gurgle feelings inside my stomach and I hope that I won't have to throw up. Has anyone else experienced these gurgle feelings after surgery? If anyone wants to comment or chat hit me up.

Well the surgery went well and I am still in the hospital with some unconformable pain. I am fighting too keeping my eyes open. I can go home tomorrow morning and my boyfriend took off the whole week of work to bee with me. It's he wonderful! I have made 2 trips to the bathroom and now I am sitting up in the chair I think I will stay here and take another nap. Anesthesia was so weird I was awake talking to the nurse and next thing i know i wake up with lots of pain. Every 10 min or so they would give me pain meds threw my iv. Then the Dr. said i could have a shot and o-man that brought me down to a 5 on pain, with a pain level from 1-10. Dr. Sewell said the wished he had video taped my surgery because it went so smooth, there was minimal bleeding, and it was "picture-book" quality. I will keep you updated.:tongue_smilie:
  5. The Big Day is Monday July 26, 2010, that's in 3 days whoo hooo. I am so ready to have some energy! So not looking forward to the suppositories. They said they don't want me throwing up. So wish me luck!

I keep forgetting I am on a diet! On day 3 I went to get my student some animal crackers, because it was after 5 and they are usually hungry by then. When I was getting them I was saying to my self I will get some extra for me and the other teachers. What the Hell! I hate having this habit. Yesterday was day 4 and it went well I had enough energy to clean my kitchen. I am taking English comp 1 and I have been working on my final so that has helped to keep my mind off food. I worry that now that it is over I will be staring at thefridge. Day 5 I am sick of the shakes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It is taking me every thing I do to choke them down. I will be going to the store later so I hope I can pick up a few things to liven them up!

Day 2 of my pre-op diet was not so easy. At your head start school we have family style meals. Today for breakfast there was eggs and toast with grape jelly. Well I just started making a plate. When I put the plate down I thought "what the hell am I doing?" It is going to be hard to break old habits.:scared0:

My Diet is 3 weeks! My surgery is secluded for July 26 but I might try to move closer to the end of the week, due to the fact I don't have much sick time to cover a whole week. My diet consist of 2 protein drinks one for breakfast one for lunch. For dinner boiled, baked or grilled chicken, fish, or turkey(4oz). Low calorie vegetables(2 cups) fresh fruit(1 cup) 1 High protein snack Total of 1200 calories 73 grams of protein
  10. Hello everyone! I too am having my surgery in July in fact July 26. I just started my pre-op diet today. I am a head start teacher and we go to school all year round. I am 24, live with my boyfriend and our 2 dogs. I have always been fluffy all threw high school but my senior year I was down to 145 in size 12. Well life events and food have had a toll on my weight. I now weigh 261 and in size 24 jeans. I have been researching bariatric surgery for over a year now. I am able to have the sleeve surgery because my grandmother is going to pay for it. She said she is tired of hearing me huffing and puffing when I answer the phone. I also have Polycystic Ovaries and the Dr said I could increase my fertility if I lost the weight. If you guys have any tips or recipes for pre-op or post-op I am all ears.
