one year ago today

One year ago right about now i was taken back to the or. That thing i renumber before going to sleep to get my band was the nurse saying what they were going to do and it being so cold in the OR. I woke up and the frist thought was OMG what did i just do to my self. Please make this woth it.

One year latter I can answer that question with a big YES it was worth it. I lost all of my excess weight. I do things i only dreamed of doing last year at this time. So for me yes it was worth it. The band is only a tool and it only as good as you work it but sometimes it my control. I could not be happier with my new life.

Thanks to all those who supported me in this last year. Thanks to Dr Jones for giving me a my band ( zoey) . I can not wait to see what the next year brings . Happy bandvery zoey !!!! we been though a lot in the last year

LAP-BAND Patients

Hi Laura

happy bandiversary to you!

I am still working on my weight loss and i've had some bumps in the road. I had to be unfilled this past winter due to post op. complications from ovarian surgery. And it has been a slow battle for me. But I had a fill apt. today and and after talking with the doc. and the p.a. we decided to fill. and i told them how disatisfied i was with my lack of progress over the last year. Dr. G. assured me we will reach our goals. He said it was like trying to ride a bike with a flat tire, you don't get very far dispite how hard you pedal. So hopefuly now i'm on the right track with fills and we are settled into our new apt. things can start moving on the doward trac again.

Laura you are an insparation that you truely used your band and took th weight off. I did 4 miles this am on the treadmill and I plan on loggin in another 4 tonight.

Keep in touch
