Going to fast..

I know everyone progresses differently,so wanted to see if anyone else is going through this.

I am now on week 4 post op,according to my Drs I am supposed to be "starting" solid proteins.

Well I started that last week and eventhrough in a couple of vegtables.

I have had no issues and am tolerating everything.

I eat slow, smal bites...etc and have had no problems.

So should I go ahead and continue with this? I feel like I am breaking some rule but since I am not having issues would like to be able to get some veggies at least into me!

Any thoughts?

I would say it's fine but I am no Doc. I would really suggest calling your Dr and asking... you'd be surprised and feel better. I was the same way and she gave me the go ahead to bump up.. I was so happy and so sick of liquids. I was on mushies for only about 2 days.

soft veggies, like mashed potatoes, butternut squash. Did your dietitian give you a print out of foods and when to eat each item? Mine did. I even got a huge book when I started at the hospital and it explained everything and told brand names of foods to eat.

No,as much as I Love my Dr and the staff...the information on post op diet was very minimum. It was more about food catagories than actual foods.
