Not getting full...

I am just into week 4 post op. Weeks 1-3 controlling eating was easy,I got full fast.

All of sudden I am not feeling full and able to eat more per sitting.

Seeing that part of my issue is over eating,I am getting nervous.

I do not get my first fill until 2/1 and dont want to gain what I have lost.

Is this normal to suddenly be able to eat more?

Unfortunately what you are experiencing is normal and many on the forums refer to this period as Bandster Hell. The time when you have no fluid in your band and are basically on your own. Just focus on learning portion control, a lot of people do not normally lose during this period. Good luck and all I can say is that it does get better. Oh and one more thing, just because you can eat certain foods now it is better if you start making those hard decisions sooner than later. Good luck to you.

Yes, you are normal.

Now is the time to practise your band eating rules until you get sufficient fills for the band to really do its job for you.

Good luck.

Welcome my friend to banster hell, it's a terrible place. During this phase in banding it's the toughest to stay on the game, but try, try, try!! Water will help, drink all the time. If you get sick of plain water add things like crystal light or lemon to it to give it a punch. During this time try to keep away from the processed and surgery foods, the more you eat of them the more you will want. It's like giving a smoker one puff and then throwing the box of cigs away. Try to stick to good clean foods- protein, veggies and fruits. If you have a sweet tooth try a SF popcicle or SF pudding. FF Greek yogurt is awesome.

Good luck, you will get through this just hang on.
