Well, today is day 2 of my pre-op liquid diet. We have my work Christmas Luncheon today. So much of our lives center around food. Two of my Christmas gifts yesterday were food...one box of chocolates, and the other a gift card to El Chico..........and I do love Mexican food.....

Haha.. I am trying to be brave and keep it all in perspective.... In the long run--what is one Christmas dinner or two????

I am anxiously awaiting surgery----come on Dec. 27th!!!

Counting down......

That was one of the hardest parts before surgery, clear liquids for 2 weeks made me cranky lol, I managed to do it losing 15 lbs in the process! I kept telling myself i can have creamy soups after surgery and that kept me going, Holidays are the worst, I just had my surgery 3 days ago and the parties and gifts in those 2 weeks of liquid diet was really tough, it'll will all be worth it not only once u get the band but once u step on that scale before surgery and you see how much you have lost. =)

i was banded yesterday ! I really feel great. I only has two days of liquids pre op, and will take clear liquids the second. I am excited and very hopeful about my new friend "Bandito". Congratulations to my fellow banders!

That's why I scheduled my surgery for January. Didn't want to have to explain why I was on liquids at any holiday functions. Good luck with the pre op diet, I start on January 1st. My doctor does let you have one meal as long as it is a protein like fish or chicken and a veggie. All these pre op diets are different depending on the doctor I guess.
