I am one month post op and so far to date I have lost 20lbs with no saline in my band. I am super excited however nervous that when I begin real food the weight is going to pile back on. Can anyone give friendly feedback to ease my mind?

I go for my first fill on 11/16/11 and have noticed over the last week I am a bottomless pitt, I am walking 3 miles 4 times/week and am sticking to the guidelines.... Would like to know ppl's stories.

My one month post op was November 5 and I am also down 20lbs!!! Has appointment with surgeon yesterday and he did not give me any fill since I was doing so well. I really don't have much of an appetite and have stuck with my meal plans very well. Small meals and lots of water. Very excited about how well I am doing. Maybe you need to eat more protein. Good luck and keep up the good work, it will pay off.

I am a little over a month out. I can tell you that I too was nervous that I would gain weight when I was released to go on solids. Your body will take its time to adjust but the weight will continue to come off as long as you do what the doctor says. Eat 4oz a meal and eat the foods that will help you body not hurt it. I am down 39 since my surgery and a total of 58 since the liver shinking diet.

I am a month post op too and down 27lbs. I really have maintained my weight since going back on solids and I am excersing at the gym. But even though I haven't lost "weight" on the scale I am still loosing inches. Went from a 26 and now back into my 22s and can zip up some 20s but have not business wearing them just yet..lol.

I get my first fill on the 16th too! YAY! I am pretty sure I will get one just simply do to the fact I don't have much "band" restriction. Now that is not to say I am not restricting myself. That is one plus about the pre op diet that I didn't think about until now. Because of the liquid diet it has helped me control my portions on my own. You have to make the effort to do that or I'm sure you can put some unwanted weight back on. But it sounds like you have the right attitude and are on the same track so keep it up! I have been on solids for a couple of weeks and doing well.

keep us posted

    • I’ve used my Xbox for exercise games too and it can be pretty motivating, especially on days when I don’t want to leave the house. Kinect games really do make you move, and after a session with kickboxing or dancing, I always feel like I’ve actually gotten a solid workout. The controller-free setup feels way more natural for workouts than anything I tried on the Wii. Zumba is fun but definitely takes a little time to get the moves right. Lately, when I’m not working out, I spend time trading CS2 skins and finding new guides on this link. There’s a lot of interesting tips if you’re into games outside of fitness too.
    • I'm literally almost crying reading this. Mostly because I'mon this pre-op diet and these last two days have been difficult... but also because I needed this! Thank you! Congrats! And a BIG congrats on quitting smoking a second time! It was hard enough to do it once... So - when I say BIG congrats... I mean BIIIIIG congrats! ❤️

      Einarmige Banditen
